Three straight years in the playoffs with a bunch of selfish assholes on the team... this year we miss with two weeks two go and I get messages from three players (garbage relievers actually) that the clubhouse sucks... Apparently Mike Morla was guzzling back beer and eating chicken wings, while banging their wives during late inning blowouts... Too bad for those pricks, as Morla stays and they will be leaving... I love clubhouse unity!

Seattle loses CF Erik Hudson for the playoffs. Not a huge loss in talent but probably the worst position in terms of depth.

The Pilots also lost 2/3 against Phoenix, but remain four games up with six left. We host the Roadrunners for three to open the sim, so full strength we go!

That always frustrated me about Hudson. He always got hurt... no matter how much rest I gave him... very frustrating!

He was great while he was here - at the plate, in the field and on the bases. It’s a pretty big loss but a lot of teams lost guys to injuries this season. I was due.

Pawtucket 3-2 against the Ale rivals. We did what was needed. Now we need to finish it , but also being a bit mindful of resting guys here and there.

Losing C.J. Hoechst for 3 weeks we could of did without. Obviously Hines can slide into his spot, but leaves us awfully thin in our OF.

We've come to peace that we aren't making a play at the division. Going to be resting some of the starters this last week in hopes of making a run in the wildcard round. Made the mistake of not doing that last year and it hurt us.

Heck of a September . Really kept us honest. Pitt also even if there was some fading.

I wish I had called-up J.D. Fazlic from the start.
He's leading all rookies in nearly every offensive category despite only have played 123 games. (VOTE FAZLIC!)
With a full season, he would have easily hit 30+ HR's. With only 6 games left, it's doubtful he'll hit that mark.
Still, we've been really pleased with how he's performed this year. Especially since he was able to perform in the clean-up spot - which we've been trying to fill since Ledbetter.

Dusty Filar has also hit very well since being called-up mid-August when Huang was traded.

3-4 and not the week we would have liked to see but dammit we are headed to the dance!

1B Bruno Damours has hit 3 more homers this week putting his September total at 11 and 30 for the year. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him win Rookie and Player of the Month of September. He’s a strong candidate for IL New Brew and we look to see if he’s ready to come up big in the playoffs.

It it is also amazing how much better SP Dusty Threatt plays in Baltimore. He’s on another tear with a 0.40 ERA in his last three games and a 142 ERA+ since making the move back east.

It it has been a long, arduous trek to the playoffs this year but making it under these circumstances, makes it that much sweeter.

I have a weird Baltimore vs. Maine feeling.
