6-0 for the surging Bulldogs to make it 7 straight and catapulting us up to the 3rd wildcard spot in the IL. After going undefeated for the week we’’ve moved up to earn the second most wins since the All-Star break in the IL, just one less win than the Bats over the same period. What was very encouraging was the fact that we were able to go 6-0 with Stripling out for most of the week with a minor injury.
19 year old rookie, 1B Bruno Damours was able to pick some of the slack, winning the first POTW of his young career. His power swing seems to be taking form as the Toronto native already has 4 home runs in just 24 trips to the plate in September.
As it stands, we are 4 games up on DVS for the #3 wildcard but just 2 games behind Carolina for the #2 wildcard and a home playoff series. We really need Carolina to slide a little more. Unfortunately, we now begin a grueling 10 game road trip which could easily put us relight back in the fight for the final playoff spot.
No no matter the outcome, this has been a great season for the team.Last edited by Delandis; 12-27-2017, 05:56 AM.

The power of team morale.
The funny thing is if you look back at our box scores, you can see that the team started to “believe” in early July.

Either way its quiet an accomplishment to dig out of that hole as many of us would of started dumping or min looked ahead to 2025.PAWTUCKET PATRIOTS

Bat (middling), Philly (average even before selling), NY (end of the rebuild , but still bad), Carolina at the time was hot so might be the one outlier. Nothing here to justify 2-18.

I agree Funclown it was bad dice rolls... but that was Baltimore’s toughest slate of games.

Defintely easier to make the playoffs with two less teams but I feel there are more “bad” teams right now in the DL.
I also think Philly (pre-sale) Batavia, Denver and DVS would all be WC contenders in the DL.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-

As usual, there are a small handful of teams that are the class of the league and then the rest of us fighting for scraps at their table.GM California Kodiaks 2014 - Present

I just meant talent wise, Hartford, Syracuse, Wilmington, Montreal, Dallas and New Orleans probably knew on Opening Day that they were playoff long shots.
However in the IL, I think only New York, Davenport and Windy City looked at this as a rebuilding year.
There is more parity in the IL and a clear distinction between contenders and pretenders in the DL. Which might become a trend because there are more teams like you says.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-

No idea if we can hold the division , but Pitt, Tor alone look like scary wildcard teams. You got Phoenix then....yeah I say our 1-6 versus the IL feels better.PAWTUCKET PATRIOTS
