Your team went deep into the playoffs last year and as far as I can tell you only rest players when they are tired (as in not giving days off) and you went with a 5-man rotation the entire season. There is nothing wrong with that but those reps add up, thus increasing your chance of injury.
I'm not saying that they are long, or irregular, I'm just saying that I'd hate to see what the next level of injuries looks like.

Just like, the MLB, it's ridiculous, that you can't run a guy out there every five days, but a reliever can pitch 4 or 5 times in a week.

Better yet, explain how a quarterback can throw 50 -100 passes all week in practice, then another 50 on game day...

or why tennis players can hit three to four hundred max velocity serves every other day, but my pitchers need to be coddled...

We all want to see Jim move his club to Dallas and bring back the Snappers, complete with the classic logo, right?

(Syracuse is barely drawing 10,000 fans a game.)

6-0 for the Bats. It's actually our first perfect week of the season, which is somewhat surprising given our record.

10 games ahead in the race for HFA. Hopefully this gives us some room to expand the roster and give some guys rest.

Happy Holidays to everyone. I've been up wrapping Christmas presents all night.

Well actually, I was up watching my wife and sister-in-law wrap the kids’ presents You know, just to lift heavy shit and for moral support..

4-2 for the Bulldogs as we move back into a playoff spot for the time being. I've found a lineup that works for us and I'm thinking 21 year old center fielder, Alistair Whaley, 19 year old first baseman, Bruno (Damours), 23 year old C.J. Stripling and 22 year old catcher, Storm (Johnson) make up a pretty solid young core to build around as I shed this debt the next few years. I'm very happy to see what Whaley is bringing to the table as a lead off hitter after some seasoning in Annapolis and Storm Johnson is looking like an everyday player at catcher. Defensively Storm is probably just solid but at the plate, the 22 year old is a scary match up for any pitcher.

Since the All-Star break the Bulldogs continue their great play, tallying the 3rd most wins and the most saves since July 17th. One huge part of our success has been the emergence of young hurler, Ron Chamberlin. Undrafted in the 2021 draft, Ron has gone 6-0 with a 1.50 ERA and 0.81 WHIP since August 1st and has been our best starter for the last month or so. I'm not ready to say we have the next "Tom Driggs" but I'll take this kind of performance, especially since he's doing this while still "angry."

As with everyone vying for a playoff spot, every game is crucial but our next six are especially important as they are our last six home games before 10 straight on the road.

I again hope everyone is enjoying the holidays.
