Year after year, I’m not sure anyone puts a more dysfunctional lineup on the field than California. We either score 7 or more and win or score two or less and lose.

Individually it it seems like an offence that should be able to score runs, but we continually shoot ourselves in the foot. We continue to lead the league in GIDP, and we must lead the lead in meaningless solo Home runs, and innings with theee hits that result in no runs.

3-3 sim. 1-2 @ NY, 2-1 @ BAT - Phoenix is now tied with us for the Bock. Fantastic.

All three of my minor league teams won the division and all three lost in the opening round. Go figure.

Well, based on the positional strength, Mike Morla is your only player ranked in the Top 10 at his position. Next highest is rookie 1B Redding, who ranks just 10th. The rest of your position players are below average starters according to positional strength.

Fair enough, but the ratings have never been kind to the Kodiaks. Two trips to the DL finals in the last few years and we’ve never had a single pitcher on the top player list, nor anyone other than Morla for any extended length of time.

I guess, the positive is, tha it speaks to how truly great Morla has been the last four or five years, that he produces in a lineup completely devoid of talent.

Rankings aside, you have a lot of guys who have OPSes in the .500s and .600s. That's not ideal. Even the (supposedly) big bats you just added are in that range.

Nice to see our AA squad, Frederick Stars, bring home the Lautering Union championship. Top of the rotation guys JJ Ray and Tom Fenton seal the deal with back-to-back top notch pitching performances.

Ray gave up 2 hits|1 run over 7IP while striking out 10 in a 8-1 victory followed by Fenton's 6 innings of shutout baseball while K'ing 12 in the championship game.

4-9 the last few weeks and Miller got hurt. This season is shot but I'm hoping next year we aren't last in all pitching categories again.

Brad did my export not work?

I gave Ingle an extension and he liked it...now it's gone and instead of $10m he wants $14m a year. I've never seen anything like it.

4-2 for the Bats, taking both series this week at home. Not a whole lot of drama right now for this team in terms of standings and playoff races.

Villasenor's injury is going to be a problem, if this first week is any indication. Dave Haugh got the start in his place and he got rocked by Denver and we lost the game. I think I'll stick with him for another game or two to see if he can figure it out again. If not, we'll shuffle someone else in there. The rest of my starters were very good and the bullpen didn't allow a run all week.

Geoff Yonke is finishing off his third straight excellent month and has taken the BLB lead in WAR. He's on pace for a career year at the plate.
