I didn’t make a move for a stretch run for the first time in years (probably ever) and it’ is going to wind up costing me a playoff spot.

Lost 3/4 vs. DVS, swept DAV 3-0.

      Lost Ulloa for two weeks.

Phoenix has won nine straight and our lead is down to just one game.

Just too pricey short and long term. Gotta keep considering the big picture.

Another middling sim for an underperforming Kodiak squad this year... The team looked just like it has all year... Kelly and Fowler more than made up for the loss of Horning, and our revamped bullpen pitched basically the same as it did before losing Ingle.

We are giving this another week or so, and if this poor baseball continues we are planning ahead for next year, and the return of our injured players and a focus on, which, if any, of the team options (Gosser $26.6, Fowler $19, Wright $15) that total over $60 million dollars we will be accepting. We return only three guaranteed contracts for next year (Morla, Moir, and Robbins), so this team could look vastly different.

So the Bulldogs come up big against two fellow wildcard contenders going 5-1 vs. Carolina and Batavia for the week.

Two of the young stars of the Bulldogs offense, OF CJ Stripling and 1B Bruno Damours, hit a combined 23/50 with Stripling amazingly not notching a strikeout for the entire week. Lesser known young offensive sparks like C Storm Johnson and OF Ken Newman, have added even more punch to the Bulldogs offense pulling the Bulldog record to just a single game under .500 and a tie for the last two playoff spots in the the IL.

We continue to play as one of the better teams in the IL since May and while we weren't a big buyer at the deadline, our young core seems to be coming together at the right time to make a push for a playoff spot.

Chalk one up for realistic settings.

Just be transparent and say you want it passed just so you can say you passed something, Paul Ryan.

5-2 week for the Bats, taking 2 of 3 from New York before winning 3/4 in Philadelphia against the new-look Freedom. We're still cruising along atop the Stout and maintaining a decent lead in the race for HFA.

But, we just lost Roger Villasenor for the rest of the year, a crushing blow since he's 12-1 with a 2.14 ERA this year. He's also still at 99 wins for his career, since we've stuck him with two no-decisions in a row. Big, big loss for this team since I don't have any great options to fill his spot in the rotation. I could move Dave Hall to a starting spot, but his one attempt at a start this year went terribly and that would open a huge hole in my bullpen.

Beyond that, it was an ok week, though that doesn't matter much.

Big loss but a quick look at your bullpen and Triple-A roster, you definitely have options. Plus, as long as Carroll, Koehler and Calligan are available, you are still the IL Brewmaster's favorite.

I actually think Phoenix losing CF Dave Black is more significant. Looks like they will have to either play someone out of position or call up someone from the minors.
