What you're describing is an MLB where every team suffers injuries and some teams suffer worse and/or more injuries.

What we have now is a BLB where some teams endure bad and/or a lot of injuries while other teams face virtually no injuries.

All due respect, your club — which is more talented than mine on paper — has suffered 4 day-to-day injuries and 4 injuries where players missed time. Only one of them (Douglas) missed as many as 25 games and he is the only full-time starter in your lineup who missed any time due to injury this year. At most you've had one start from a rotation pitcher lost to injury.

Or Pittsburgh, another team that is better than mine on paper, but still, has had 3 day-to-day injuries and 3 injuries where players missed time. They've lost O'Hearn (a star) for a month and an okay infielder, for a month. That's it.

Meanwhile my team has endured 8 day-to-day injuries and 8 injuries where players missed time. My three best hitters — all recent All-Stars — have lost four months, two months, and one month, respectively, to serious injuries.

To have to figure out how to navigate that crisis while other teams I'm competing with have basically no injuries sucks.

Again, not to say that those clubs don't deserve to be ahead of Maine in the standings. They do.

My point is that the distribution of injuries in this league leads to very damaged clubs having to compete with very healthy clubs, as opposed to a more realistic MLB-style distribution where very damaged clubs must keep up with teams that are also damaged, but less so. The injury playing field is more level in real life.

I don't know that we urgently need to change something, but I do see at as one of the aspects of the league that isn't handled terribly well.
I'll be the first to admit Pawtucket injuries wise (when we are good and bad) has been on a wonderful run the past decade in a half. This wasn't always the case and still not the case in the minors. There was a time in the 90's I looked at Maine with envy when it came to this. Then it changed. No idea if its our trainer, our resting/ rotating players or just dumb luck. Probably a mix of all three. I get what your saying Z, but trends happen.

As the league level in the MLB. One major reason the Cubs did finally win one was they were the least injured team that season. Mets on the other hang after reaching in 2014 can't keep a rotation healthy. Just a smalll sample, but there are huge variations on team health. Please don't even make go into the NFL with the Chicago Bears the past 4 seasons. (I SCREAM for the trainer to be fired) Yes, luck plays a huge role.

It happens most years like that. Where most teams go through the whole year with few to NO injuries while 1 or 2 trans get decimated. It completely sucks when it is your team. I wouldn’t call Baltimore a “good” team this year, but I’d like to believe our injuries have significantly impacted our performance.

In a professional game where players play 162+ games in a 365 day calendar year (at least 44% of their year) there should be a minimum expectation that guys will get hurt. I also feel like we’ve blunted the impact of the injury rating. GMs with experience know that they can select or trade for injury prone players with confidence that the injury prone player has a very slightly increased likelihood of getting injured as a normal or even durable player on our current settings.

Quite frankly I’ve always thought that after our time with Clay at the helm, this league would be the first to adopt a a stricter injury setting to insure that injuries would be more evenly distributed across the league. Part of the reason he got away with what he did because we were way too comfortable with multiple teams going entire seasons without injury.

        But hey, I’m a masochist.

I didn’t catch on to the low injury setting until the past 2-3 seasons.

But I am definitely for increasing injuries. Honestly, I’d probably prefer two bumps up.

The Wilson Tobs are an amateur baseball team playing in the Coastal Plain League, an NCAA-sanctioned collegiate summer baseball league. The team plays its home games at Fleming Stadium in Wilson, North Carolina. Today's Tobs were one of the original teams in the collegiate Coastal Plain League when the league was founded in 1997; prior to 1997 the town of Wilson hosted minor league teamsthroughout the 20th century. In 2005 the Coastal Plain League named the Tobs the CPL Organization of the Year. The Tobs' mascot has been a tobacco worm named Slugger since the 1999 season.

Some stupid nickname the original owner gave the club.
