Haha, Szymanski had a great week for me and I lost him to Maine.

I don't even know what to say.

SP CJ McVicker gave up 47 ER in 224 IP in 2023. In 93.2 IP this year, he has already given up 51 ER. Not sure what to make of it.

Seattle goes 2-4 on the road against the weak Stout. At the All-Star break Seattle is 54-34, with +12 home games to play in the second half.

        Thanks Brad.

My bullpen continues to act like a truck stop glory hole, blowing everything they get their hands on.
Gudino continues to struggle mightily in A-ball too. Some of my newly drafted pitchers are showing some promise though, so hopefully that's a good sign.

Depending on what my team does next sim, it's probably time to sell.
Gosser, Huang, Rowles, West and Gelinas will all be on the block.

A 5-2 week to head into the all star break was much needed in California. Six of the games were decided by a run and four went into extra innings. Hopefully this is the kind of team we can be moving forward. We haven't had any rookies break into the lineup in a few years, but it's been fun to watch Fiume and Redding adjusting to life at the BLB level.

Pawtucket 4-3, tied with Pitt heading into break. Going to have to figure out the home/ road thing in the 2nd half or else we really are better off being a road team come playoff time.

Game glitch note: So ok we bring in Baldwin , a very popular person even more then Zach Cook. Not increase. I get an email we lose Zach Cook and our fan interest decreases. Pretty sure in the real world Balwin gets a bit more attention then losing a middling 3-4 starter. Oh well, sure we will be fine.

Douglass back next week. Overall we've done well without him.

This new version seems to make you pay for people leaving, but offers nothing for people coming in... In seems the only thing that fans care about in this version is winning baseball, or close to it at least!

The way I look at it... and this could be wrong... Zack Cook is "popular" national and local. He has been a Patriot for the past three seasons. So, the fans probably liked him. He had thrown 400+ innings. Thus, giving you a boost in fan interest. Trade him for Baldwin, who is "popular/v. pop" but he has only pitched for the Patriots for one start. I'm sure if Baldwin is a Patriot for three seasons, the way Cook was, the interest will rise.

The popularity system might be flawed/glitched.. but from what I have seen adding a popular player doesn't move the needle until they have played for your team for awhile. You lose fan interest when you trade away a popular player who has been on your team for 1+ seasons.

Correct. It stops people from gaming the system by adding that popular AAA player to move the fan interest needle (see Pat’s Washington teams for reference).

To be honest it will only take a month or two as long we keep winning. Just noting real world versus the game. I explained to a new Jim in SYR recently dont bother with popular players who arent gonna help your team. You won't be getting a boost. Not his fault, its the way the game use to be played.

4-2 for the Bats and we hit the All-Star break at 60-27. Not bad.

Five All-Stars for the Bats this year, which is tied for the most in the IL:

SP Ed Carroll (5th in a row)
                          SP Roger Villasenor (1st)
SP Dave Koehler (2nd, last time in 2021)
SS Geoff Yonke (8th in a row)
                          CF Alexis Moran (1st)

I'm happy to see Villasenor finally get a spot, he's been a notable snub in recent seasons. All those guys played well this week. Yonke has been hot for a few weeks now and Moran bounced back from a little bit of a slump.
