      Thanks, Brad.

That sucked. We got the shit kicked out of us in three home games against Montreal and then split a four-game series at Syracuse.

And now my star third baseman is out for the rest of the year with a broken elbow. He was on pace for a 7.5 WAR season. His option for next year won't vest as a result, which might change our roster calculus.

Looks like I re-signed the wrong infielder. Corbett has been awesome while Pelloni has been terrible.

Pawtucket 5-2. Needed these past few weeks to get going. Sweep of NO and a split with Toronto. Can't help but feel somewhat excited on how this team is coming along. Wanzer since being called back up has been a min--monster in the DH spot. Wanzer fell of the top 100 prospect list now since he's got more then 45 days service time, but we still are holding in the top 10 with Elliot being an addition of late. Nailing the 2nd round picks has been critical to our team since we really were limited on 1st round picks due to ...well dumbness.

Big test coming up with Pitt. If anything be interesting to see if we made any progress against them. Really hard to tell right now.

Not much else to say, hope this continues.

Scored a 1,000 runs against Seattle, or something close to that. Scored almost none against Batavia. 3-3 for the Bats.

A couple of interesting games this sim:

Phoenix and Baltimore played 25 innings before the game mercifully ended on a walk-off HR.

Windy City pitched a combined no-hitter after Zach Scott got injured to end the 8th inning.

I don't know if that's our league's first combined no-hitter, or if OOTP just doesn't keep track of those. The recap makes no mention of it.

5-2. Possibly first winning sim of the season. And if it isn't, it's definitely the winningest sim all season. I've been spending a lot of time looking at stuff & making adjustments, so either that helped, or just blind luck!

Really like what CJ Turnbow has done since we signed him. I was combing through FAs trying to find some guys who can hit the ball & get on base--our offense has been horrible! Turnbow won't be a superstar but he looked like a guy who could hit .280, which I'll take. He's only been with us for 12 games, but he's had a nice start, hitting .310 with .356 OBP. Not blistering numbers, but it's exactly what we needed.

                            Seattle (4-2): 1-2 vs. DC, 3-0 @ Phoenix

We now sit atop the Bock maybe for the first time in so long I can't remember. The DC series was a bit worrisome as we gave up a total of 36 runs in three games. You read that right. But we rebounded by winning two 1-run games and a 14-6 slugfest against the former division leaders in Phoenix.

SP Willie Fajardo has got rocked since returning from Tommy John surgery. Maybe I didn't give him enough time to get the rust off? I'll probably give him one more start before moving him to the pen or back down to Triple-A. Should have signed Watts or Honea. Damn.

If he's going to start put him on a 90 pitch count. I was going to sign him to close if you didn't. That's probably your best bet.
