          I don't get it either.

Jose Williams, has a 1.11 ERA and 0.86 WHIP in 3 games, continuing where he left off in September when he had a 1.63 ERA in 3 starts.
          He's a 5/6/5 for crying out loud.
My scout has been bugging me to bring him up for 3 seasons now, but his ratings and stats were never that great. But here he is, doing a good job.
Meanwhile, other pitchers like Joey Gelinas have been a 6/5/7 for 3 years and couldn't do crap. And now he's lost a point on Stuff. What a loser.

          It's the mysteries of OOTP.

Bullpen games as opposed to a starter going 5-7.

75 pitches. Only face a lineup 2 times vs 3 times and have long relievers

Basically 90% of most playoff games now in MLB.

Seems unconventional. I’m guessing it works or else it wouldn’t be used.

It doesn't work as well as MLB managers think it does... Part of the reason Houston won this year is because LA blew out their bullpen way to early in the season. It may work over a short stretch, but way to hard on your bullpen arms to do over the long haul.

                          Pawtucket 3-4.

So we end the month of April 10-10 and like most .500 starts to any season having a hard time getting a feel for my team. Yes we played KC & Cali good, but what was up with our 1-5 first week? Why is the back of our rotation not so good? We acquired contact hitters in the offseason, but why are we #9th in batting average? We can hit the longball again, but where is our ability to draw walks? Why does Hammond get off to such slow starts? Where is that top 3 defense from last year?

All puzzles that hopefully gets solved. 3B Hammonds will go to AAA for a few weeks see if he remembers to not strike out , #60 prospect 2B Huo-tu Hua will get his debut next week probably getting some work at 2B & 3B and we will 'tweak' the pitching staff a bit. Hell even R.J. McGlashing will come back up for a bit if anything to give us a base running threat off the bench.

For what its worth we are one good week from being in the thick of this. Right now there's those bottom 2 teams, KC and then a whole group of us. Parity in the DL seems real right now.

I kinda tried it with 4 starters with a low pitch max (probably around 75). It was quite a while ago, so I don't remember exactly how it went, but it wasn't any huge success that made me stick with it.

I've ran HUNDREDS of test leagues and can confirm it can end up in DISASTER.

Dave Buerger is making a compelling early case to be Maine's first Refreshing New Brew winner since Lucca Memmoli in 1995.
