    Thanks Brad!

    Annnnd, we suck again.

Three losses (at least) were because of our terrible bullpen. I've never been able to develop decent relievers since I took over this franchise.
Roman Vanderhoef looks like the real deal. His numbers are really good. I hope he can continue to develop and eventually take over as my full-time closer.
    Might happen sooner than later.

But every team, from the BLB down to A-ball, has problems closing games out. Across my entire organization, I bet I lose 10 games a week due to my lousy relievers.
I've got to get better at drafting and developing these guys.

Finally a winning week though the box score news keeps mentioning that we could be the worst team in the league to help keep me grounded..

4-2 week for the Bats against the Bock's best (so far). 2-0 at DVS, then a hard fought split of 4 games against Phoenix.

We're 17-8, so it's a good start to the season. Only a half game ahead of Carolina and Philly though, so it looks like the Stout is going to be a tough fight this season. We lead the IL in runs scored and runs allowed, so hopefully we've got the pieces to stay on top.

Omar Baber has been a great addition for us so far, Micah Garlick is hitting his stride finally (hopefully), and we're getting contributions from the entire lineup. Our worst hitter so far has been Geoff Yonke, which I'm guessing will only be temporary.

On the pitching side, Carroll looks as good as ever, maybe better. Villasenor has been lights out so far. Free agent signing Dave Hall has done a really nice job as our setup man, but I'm still considering moving him to the rotation since our fifth starter hasn't been good lately.

-2-5 week to end a 13-game road trip. Seattle is now 13-13, with a 1 game lead for the final Wild Card spot.

-SP Willie Fajardo starts his rehab stint this week and speaking of injuries, we had one at every minor league level but none longer than four days. Our trainer retired (2017-2023) and our new one has an almost perfect reputation at recovery while being average at best at prevention. I wonder if that's what we are seeing now?

-Through five starts, SP CJ McVicker has now given up 19 ERs. Last SEASON, he gave up a total of 47 in 30 starts. Overall the pitching staff has struggled, ranking 10th in the IL in ERA.
              Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
              Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041

No mention of the 3 game sweep suffered @ Philly, huh?

Our trainer retired this offseason too and I've been worried about the replacement we hired. He's no where near as highly rated as our old one and I've been expecting a lot more nagging injuries this year. Emmett Goins was day-to-day all week long and basically played on 1 leg because Tommy Keatts kept running him out there every day. We'll give him some time off early next week to hopefully get him fully recovered.

I don't know what it is but the last few seasons you have had our number. Losing Game 2 was tough. Not sure why my manager left Polzin after the 7th. Runner on 1st and 2nd, pinch-hitting opportunity and our bullpen was ready.

Your trainer looks pretty damn good all around....just watch out for back injuries.

Tough week all the way around, but my top prospect, Ron Nucci, really had a tough week. Thought I'd bring him up and hope he'd give a boost to the team by shaking things up a bit. He responded by going 1 for 22. I guess he has nowhere to go but up!

I thought Syracuse got the steal of the draft that year. He was easily in my Top 10 and he fell to #19. OSA has him fully developed and my scout says about 90% cooked.

A little early to even be talking about playoffs isn't it? I mean Davenport won't be mathematically eliminated for another 2 or 3 weeks yet.

I just can't comprehend year after year why my pitching is so bad. Once again we are 11th in starters ERA and 4th in bullpen ERA when we have good guys in both spots. Maggio and Elkind are both good pitchers according to my scout yet they have 7.20 and 6.86 ERA's. It's just overwhelming ridiculous.
