Better. Pawtucket 4-2 including a recent sweep of Cali. I don't mind the slow start, but with moral you really don't want to fall too deep in the hole.

Small sample size, but some concerns going on right now with the bullpen. Again, still a small sample sized.

A 4-2 week is a bit better and we're now over .500. Just a game back from Batavia, so our start hasn't been too bad. Two weeks worth of takeaways:

        - Losing Dave Blackmon is going to hurt. I was counting on the rookie playing almost every day at 1B (and a little at catcher). Jimmy Harris doesn't look like he's ready. We'll need Blackmon healthy and productive in four weeks for this offense to really click.

        - I have been impressed by the start for Alexis Moran, our rookie in CF. I probably pushed him a bit too quickly last year, but he's off to a very good start to this season, so maybe he's figuring it out now.

        - Our pitching still looks good. Only JP Lawrence is off to a rough start, as everyone else looks just as good as ever.

So, no huge surprises so far in Washington.

          Thanks, Brad.

Two years in a row my group of groundball pitchers comes out and gets blasted for home runs left and right. Frustrating. Most in baseball after two weeks.

We have no power... Not even extra base power right now... And our third base coach holds everyone at third... Loser!

Also we are two weeks into the season and already seven players in my organization are on the disabled list.

                      2-9...ouch.

Well we aren't even as good as I thought we were. Our moral is slipping into the abyss so I'll have to make a couple more changes and see if we can't get this early free fall under control.

On the bright side, CJ Stripling is doing well. If Bruno can make that next step sooner rather than later, we should be ok.

4-2 week for the Sharks, we are hitting well and keeping the ball on the ground... Let's see how much we can maintain this fantasy. Williams, Murphy, Collins and Dail are keeping the boat afloat.

Not in relation to two late 30 year olds and a second rounder, but we've all got different views...
