The Millers select, 16 year old SS Oscar D'Adonna. Lot to like about him, but the deciding factor was the anticipated eye bump I think he's going to get. He waked 21 times his first two years, and this year he walked 41. My scout has his potential of 7/5/7/6/7 ...with 8/8/8 speed and OSA has him 6/7/6/3/6 ... but with my guess that his eye is closer to 6 than 3.... I went for it.

Was hoping Dave DeLancey would last to 2.1, but that was wishful thinking. Dude could be BLB ready in 1.5 to 2 seasons.Brewers League Baseball

With the 24th and 25th overall selections, the Bats have double dipped into the high school ranks, with SP Pieter van Westen and CF Bert Garza. van Westen is a 6'6" lefty who hits 90 on the gun at age 17, projects to have 3 very good pitches, strikes out a bunch of people, doesn't walk many and keeps the ball in the yard. My scout feels like he can be a monster, and is more bullish on his stuff potential than OSA.
Bert Garza is a true center field prospect with excellent range in the field and my scout also loves him at the plate. I debated several players at this spot, but ultimately went with Garza, who has an excellent combination of defense, contact ability and power. Again, my scout likes him more than OSA, though he's no slouch on there.
Maybe a little risky to pick two high school players - I debated that for a few minutes - but we'll take the risk and hopefully end up with two cornerstone pieces.Washington Bats, 2013-
