My scout feels like he can be a monster, and is more bullish on his stuff potential than OSA.

Bert Garza is a true center field prospect with excellent range in the field and my scout also loves him at the plate. I debated several players at this spot, but ultimately went with Garza, who has an excellent combination of defense, contact ability and power. Again, my scout likes him more than OSA, though he's no slouch on there.

Maybe a little risky to pick two high school players - I debated that for a few minutes - but we'll take the risk and hopefully end up with two cornerstone pieces.
I hope we can elaborate the Rookie league so they can develop as they should, rather than being overmatched by 22 and 23 years old dogs sitting in the A level

      • LA screws me too!
Went with a closer. Not really happy about that, but my organization needs bullpen help across the board so, what the hay, took Tom Jensen.

I'm surprised Householder was still there at 1.26. Jensen I like too. it's a tossup, but I really need to start focusing on pitching a little.

I think this pick is great value at the end of round 1 and so was van Westen the pick before. As usual, Washington doing work.

              • Householder was nearly the pick with #25, before I ultimately decided to go with the high-ceiling CF in Garza.

He's also hurt now. Nothing too major.

I really wanted Housholder, but LA pulled a page out of Baltimore's book of "How to be an asshole, AKA, JJLinn", and took him before I could.
I really liked Jensen but I didn't want to take him so high.
But seeing as how all I do is complain about my terrible organizational bullpen depth, I think he's the right pick for me.

                      • Really like Schumacher here. Could be a monster at the plate. Came down to Garza, Householder and Schumacher with my last pick.

                        • Happy to take Doyle here. Wanted him him badly. Didn’t think he’d fall.

He was my pick if you hadn't taken him.

                            • Doyle, Schumacher and Burns all look like very good value at the top of the second. I spent about 1.5 hours after the family went to sleep, scouring the draft and every one of these guys were top of the draft list.
