It was worth it. He slashed .300/1.1017.

1-5 and while it is only a week, I’m not a fan of how terrible we pitched. Storm Johnson looks like he may be able to hit at this level but I’m worried about his
      decision making behind the plate.

2-4 to start the season (1-2 vs Maine, 1-2 vs Toronto)

The bats started off hot but terrible week for our pitching staff. I'm encouraged by a hot start for Joey Walz. He's a guy I like a lot but keeps getting derailed by injuries. Hopefully this is the year he puts a solid full season together.

I didn't mention it last week, but I re-signed Tom Pelloni to a 4 year extension during ST. His demands were extremely high and it took a lot of effort to get him down to this salary. It's more than I wanted to pay but I felt like I needed some insurance for our middle infield when/if Erik Jackson opts out of his deal next year. This pretty much guarantees TJ Corbett is gone after this season. We're going to be in the hunt so I'm happy to play him and let him walk after the season but also very open to offers if anyone is interested.

Have a feeling this was due to him somehow being dropped from my team and Matt having to re-add him. I just checked and it looks like he's on the 40 now but let me know if I need to do anything.

First week feels just like last year...

Morla is 0 for Forever with a guy on third and less than two out
14 double plays... Waaaaay too many for a team with limited extra base power
Starter ERA 1.33, yet somehow only pick up one win and take two losses... Unreal!
Bullpen ERA 4.96, with a brutal 3 run ninth to lose a shutout against the Hartford offence... Ugh!!

I expect this sort of deflection from Jake. But you? This is disappointing.
