2-4 Sim - 1-2 vs. Denver, 1-2 @ Death Valley. The bats were cold. In the four losses the Pilots score 1, 2, 1, and 1.

Lost SP Elliot Paul (#7 overall prospect) for three months 46 pitches into his Double-A debut. Nice.
    Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
    Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041
    Washington Bats - 1979-2013

Yikes. Pawtucket 1-5. Nice to see we still cannot beat Syracuse for some unholy reason. Bats sucked, bullpen collapsed in 3 games that I can see.

Hopeful we got one of our shit weeks out of system. Sometime you just have to shrug.

          3-3 week.

Carroll is 0-2. We lost our starting first baseman, who I was really looking forward to seeing.

          Time to panic.

Holy hell, 6-1 in mostly close games. All downhill from here, but maybe this'll help the morale issue.

1-5 week. Bullpen was crap. Every starter except Gelinas had a sub 2.00 ERA this week and only one of them got a win.
I have to find a way to develop pitchers.
I'm still in rebuild mode so it's not like 1-5 hurts us. It would be nice though to see some of my young arms take a step forward in protecting leads.

Man I wish Willie Londono could hit. The dude's defense is insane. A +2.4 ZR in RF after only 6 games.
He'll help me get another top pick for 2025, but I don't know if I can suffer with him as a starter.

4-2 to start off the season (1-2 v WAS, 3-0 v BAL) as Tom Driggs gets off to a 2-0 start right out of the chute. As a team we hit 1, 1! HR the entire week. We expect to be at least an average power team, so maybe once the weather warms up we'll see a few more balls leave the yard.

SS Antonio Melendez (who've I've never understood not being anywhere near the Top 100 prospect list) took the lessons learned from his ST invite and just trashed AAA pitching in his first week there. 6HR, 3 2Bs, 11 RBI and a 4:3 BB:K ratio is a great way to get your feet wet after skipping AA ball.

That's a salty 2 week stretch from last season.

Triple post: Shout out to all of you guys. We had exports from everyone, and all minor league teams were accounted for as well. Only "issue" was the ST guys not on 40 man rosters, but that's just one of those things. Thanks guys!

Thanks, Brad. I should have remembered after years of running this sim — but I didn't. Sorry!

2-4 week to open the season, including getting swept at home by Wilmington.

On the bright side, Ron Luehring's first BLB start went well: 8 2/3 IP, 2 R, 0 BB, 10 K. Nice!

                      A similarly good first 2024 start from Xue-qin Tow: 8 IP, 1 R, 2 BB, 7 K.

Unfortunately, our offense managed only one run in each game against Wilmington, including those two starts, so we lost all of them.

We did win two of three at KC to open the year though.

Dave Buerger had a splendid first week in the BLB. He hit .294 with a .922 OPS. I know Matt is rooting for him to do well.

Getting ready for more of the same, as our first six series of the season are against the same three teams: Kansas City, Wilmington, and Hartford.

To follow up on something from last sim, my scout has evidently changed his mind about Ted Adamo dropping from six stamina to three after his injury. Updated report has Adamo back up to five stamina. Hooray!

Can we get the Draft Utility up sometime soon?

                          Thank you powers that be.

I was going to work on it this morning, but your ST invitee Hanson not being on the 40 man made me run out of time. Maybe tomorrow?
