If we want to speed it up then just do 1 day SIM's for all FA. In all honestly 2 days between the first few FA stages aren't really needed anymore.
LOVE one day sims. lol. lets do it.

With 6 FA's SIMs now I think 1 day SIMs are the best moving forward. I'll still leave the Sunday SIM as 2 days though since that is what people might have planned for. After that we can go 1 day (which we had for 3 of the remaining 4 anyways).

The issues I have with a 7-day sim to start FA1:

          1. Nothing happens. I could completely sit out on making FA offers for the first sim and wouldn't be adversely effected at all. You could even argue this is the smarter play - let someone else set the market, and then react to that when making my offers beginning in FA2.

          2. Even if I've made offers, I can still have them "Pending" after this sim. That does me no good. If the purpose of breaking up the sims is to have time to counter offer, then that's ruined by the fact that I haven't even gotten a response to the offers I did make.

I'm not sure what the solution is. Pat suggested making FA1 a 10-day sim, maybe that would help. Certainly doing daily sims for the first part of free agency would speed up the process.

I know that when we did 2 weeks they would seem to sign right at the 2 week point. Maybe 10 days helps but I don't know if anyone would sign.

Counteroffers are viable now though. I was let known that someone I bid on wants more money because Team X offered them this much.

Pawtucket signs Hitting Coach Tyler May!!! HA!!!

These days all I seem to care about is as a manager is your development "excellent" and is the coaches development influence not negative.

I'm good with speeding up the frequency of sims.

And ten days might be the optimal length, as opposed to the current seven days, which as liquidcrash pointed out, isn't always sufficient for offers to go all the way through.

I just don't want to go back to the full two-week sim, which prevents teams from being able to submit a single counteroffer before a player signs.

Looking at some IFA's from previous years, since they were the ones most likely to sign in FA1:
                    Rosaro
12/1/2020 Entered the Brewers League Baseball as a free agent from Costa Rica.

                    Sepulveda
12/1/2020 Entered the Brewers League Baseball as a free agent from Nicaragua.
12/9/2020 Signed a 6-year contract worth a total of $51,000,000 with the Washington Bats organization.
                    Dominguez
12/1/2019 Entered the Brewers League Baseball as a free agent from Panama.
12/9/2019 Signed a 8-year contract worth a total of $212,560,000 with the Baltimore Bulldogs organization.
                    Carrasco
12/1/2019 Entered the Brewers League Baseball as a free agent from Nicaragua.
12/9/2019 Signed a 5-year contract worth a total of $58,400,000 with the Baltimore Bulldogs organization.
                    Garcia
12/1/2019 Entered the Brewers League Baseball as a free agent from Mexico.
12/9/2019 Signed a 8-year contract worth a total of $86,000,000 with the Pittsburgh Millers organization.
                    Zhang
12/3/2017 Entered the Brewers League Baseball as a free agent from Taiwan.
12/31/2017 Signed a 6-year contract worth a total of $144,000,000 with the Death Valley Scorpions organization.
                    Roman
12/1/2020 Entered the Brewers League Baseball as a free agent from Puerto Rico.
12/16/2020 Signed a 8-year contract worth a total of $151,000,000 with the Indianapolis Racers organization.
                    Park
12/1/2020 Entered the Brewers League Baseball as a free agent from South Korea.
12/9/2020 Signed a 5-year contract worth a total of $106,000,000 with the Syracuse Slammers organization.
                    Ortega
12/1/2020 Entered the Brewers League Baseball as a free agent from Dominican Republic.
12/16/2020 Signed a 5-year contract worth a total of $27,000,000 with the New York Knights organization.

I'm sure I'm missing some, but looking at this, many of the top IFA names were signing on day 8. I worry that if we got to a 10-day sim, we'd run into the same issue that many had a problem with before.

When I originally proposed the 7 day sims for FA1 and FA2, it was supposed to be daily sims, so it actually didn't slow anything down, just created an additional sim for the commish.

                      I think that's the answer.

Actually now looking at this, kind of alarming these contracts could of been countered which would of possibly lead to even HIGHER salary.

We need the 3 days post Brewmasters for everyone to catch back up and get those Arby/Team Option exports in. After that I would be good with all FA SIM's 1 day until we get to ST for a 2 day break.
