I'm just noticing how good Los Angeles SP Dave Swartwood was this season. He went 17-2 on a team that finished 78-84. In games he didn't pitch, the Dinos were 61-82.
    Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-

Maybe he and Wes Perry can make a solid 1-2 punch.

We lost our Manager, Bench Coach, and Hitting Coach. We had just signed Zane last season to a 5 year, multi million dollar contract. I wonder if I got that money back.

Seth Fike was a hell of a hitting coach. He will be missed.

Martin Nigo retired... He didn't want to go through the re-tooling process. Our Pitching Coach will get the nod. Time to think about the hitting Coach vacancy. Our last Coach made us really bad in avg

You know what's enjoyable? Searching through the free agent coaches to find names that mean something to you. We have filled our minor league coaching positions with old Davenport players that I had during my tenure there. It's all about who you know! Just ask Vern Branch, Pat Danford and Jayson Madocks. They now have jobs in the Toronto system.

We also brought journeyman Wade Flint back as our hitting coach in AAA.

Honestly - this might be my favorite part of OOTP...

Jamie McPherson retired. The game retired hos #39, but he actually wore 31 during his first stint so we changed the retired number.

                        Best player I ever drafted.

I actually tried him at 3B while in the minors, but he never improved his range. At that moment in time we were beginning to drown in red. Glad we least got someone in return for a possible future hall of famer.

Wish I had some money to play with this offseason- my owner is really tightening the purse-strings. Our payroll is like 40 million below our division rivals.
