The Maine Guides announce the unceremonious firing of scouting director Don McNeill.

While we were going to politely let his contract expire at the end of the season, enough is enough.

Mr. McNeill, who has admittedly been an effective scouting director, has been completely unwilling all season to even discuss a contract extension.

And yet, despite going to the press, he still says privately he's not open to discussing a new contract.

This reminds me that I fired Rutledge.

His contract was up anyway. But I fired him and we responded with a 5-1 sim to end the season.

I don't have the game in front of me but at least 2018. He was manager in Orlando for a year with your organization.

Then he joined Denver as the bench coach in 2020.
