    Thanks Matt!

So NY and I are tied with 53-wins apiece for the #1 pick overall.
Not sure how OOTP does the tiebreaker, but I'm game for a winner take all contest. With the winner getting the #1 pick.

We do it based off last years standings. I see the history hasn't been updated so I'm not sure who did worse in 2022 and gets the #1 pick.

I think I have it locked-up then. I had the 2nd overall last year as well.

We are in and ready for some Kodiak meat!

Due to our inability to plan far in advance, Ono will be starting Game 1 as McDade and Robertson are too tired from that last week of regular season. Nonetheless, we've had California's number before!!

I missed majority of the live sim but thanks for running it anyways Matt. Long live the Live Sim!

              --

Seattle finishes the last week 1-5 but no injuries, with rotation and top bullpen arms 100% rested. Facing Baltimore seems like a dream matchup for Seattle but I'm nervous. The Bulldogs went just 4-8 against us this year, their worst record against any opponent in 2023. These Wild Card series leave a lot up to dice rolls and I wouldn't be surprised at all to have our season end here.

Good luck to Delandis and all the teams in the post-season!

Hopefully we can at least put up a fight this year. We’ve been a large disappointment the last two years against Toronto.

Hell of a season for Marco Rosaro.

                  88 IP, 58 H, 10 ER, 30 BB, 108 K, 1.02 ERA, and a new BLB record 57 saves (in 58 attempts)

Good news for Collin Robbins as he heads to free agency as California’s all time winningest (and losingest) pitcher as he picked up his 97th win this year. It also means that we’ll continue being one of only a handful of franchises that doesn’t have a pitcher with 100 career wins.

You have to accumulate 45 days of service in the majors to not be considered a rookie anymore, am I right?

Just as a "prospect". Think its 165 days where he is no longer considered a rookie. You usually see a major league verb-age change on the scouting report.

We finish with a 3-3 week and a final record of 104-58. That's the same record as last year, but this time Baltimore didn't ruin it and win the division.

Not a bad week since we were giving a lot of rest days to the regular lineup. Geoff Yonke still appeared in every game and upped his hitting streak to 29 games, which will carry over to next season. Selflessly, he pinch-hit in the 9th in one game, and came through with a double to keep it alive. What a guy.

The BLB record hit streak is 35 games, so he'll have a chance in our first sim next year.

Ed Carroll made one final start, throwing 8 shutout innings, which was just enough for him to take the ERA title at 1.85.

The Bats don't play this round, but the playoff roster is still pretty much set. Two September callups- rookies Dave Blackmon and TJ Mayfield - did enough to grab a spot.
