    Oh, man.

After going 0 for 17 the week before, Suarez had a 3 for 22 sim, bringing him slowly to a current total of 3,505 hits.

Seven hits to tie the record.

Eight to set a new one.

That was a normal sim for him up to now, but the last couple weeks have been rough. He might have to do it in 2024 ... if he comes back.

Down to the wire. With the benefit of playing three games in Maine and three in Pittsburgh, the two biggest park factors for RH hitters, I think he gets it.

And....Pawtucket is done. Still after 3 woeful seasons we have a winning season!!! Not bad considering the soup mess we were in a few years ago. Farm system still has talent to bring in and we will have some amount of money to play with as Reeves & Watts are probably bye bye after seasons end.

Really could use a true leadoff hitter (like most teams) and perhaps one more hitter who can hit for average.

Like to get to 87 wins which would be end the season 20 games better. We did our best with the talent we had and even did some trades that I feel makes us better long term. Losing out on 2B Tom Lewis this past offseason probably cost us a playoff spot.

            1-2 @ Windy City, 3-0 @ Davenport

The 4-2 week seals up the #1 WC seed for Seattle. Phoenix went 5-1, and with DVS/DAV for their final six, the division is 99.99999% locked up. They would have to go 0-6 and Seattle go 6-0. With that in mind, Seattle will probably rest a few key guys this week.

We did have one injury but only day-to-day for a guy who probably doesn't make the playoff roster. We are in good shape but anything can happen in a short Wild Card series.

4-3 against the Stout teams fighting for the Wildcard. 1-1 @ Batavia, 1-1 vs Philly, 2-1 vs Baltimore. That puts us at 101 wins, the third straight season we've gotten to 100+ wins. 4 games up on Phoenix for the top seed.

We played 5 consecutive one-run games this week, perfectly showing what I can expect against any of these teams in the Divisional Round (except we probably won't win them in the playoffs). Finished off September at 21-7, our second best month of the season. We're still #1 on the Power Rankings thanks to KC struggling a bit.

With one week to go, all 4 of my players that show up on the Top Players list are currently hot - Carroll, Villasenor, Yonke and Roseboom. I'll have to hope that continues.

Damn, we played 3 extra inning games, 2 of which were quite long, one being 21 innings. Tired dudes.

Dreadful Season Sees Playoff Hopes Dashed for Montreal

                    Friday, September 1st, 2023
A bad season for the Montreal Exports isn't going to end with a miracle turnaround. The club was officially eliminated from postseason contention today.

The Exports have missed the playoffs 36 times in their 39 years as a Brewers League Baseball franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 6th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2017. In the last 10 seasons, the Exports have missed the playoffs 7 times.

But what a three years that was!

(Just look at that mouth-breathing, f**ktard in the bottom right of the photo. That's the kind of shit we have to put up with in Montreal!
P.S. Thanks for buying a ticket! Tell your friends about us!)

Montreal Exports Will Miss Playoffs Yet Again
                      Friday, September 1st, 2023
For the 5th straight year, Montreal Exports fans will not get to see their favorite team in the playoffs.

"At some point," said long-time season ticket holder Greg Hopkins, "ownership needs to make a change at the GM and manager position. I'm not even sure I will be purchasing season tickets again next year."

Currently sitting in last place in the Domestic League Lager Division with a record of 37-92, the Exports will clearly have to do better next year. It will be interesting to see if any management shakeups occur during the coming offseason.
                      .
I'm guessing that's Mr. Hopkins pictured above.
