Pawtucket 4-2. IL we'd be in the thick of it. DL, we are way outside looking in. Its ok, goal is a winning season. Barring a disaster we should hit out target.

          Thanks, Brad.

Suarez went 0 for 17 in five games.

          Cutting it close here.

Ten hits to tie the record with two weeks of baseball left to play.

Have to say very impressed with Windy City this season. They won't be able to resign any if they're players this offseason, but I had them left for dead.

Well done new guy! You might get my vote for GM of the year.

There's a week left in the season. It's been tumultuous on and off the field. Our manager got fired. Our gm has been a psycho in the media. There's a week left and I see this

Pittsburgh Millers Adopt New Pitching Program
              Saturday, September 23rd, 2023
Pittsburgh pitching coach Shinji Okuma says all he doing is what he is paid to do, coach, when implementing a regimen requiring his staff to put in more hours. "Every pitcher has a throw-off day between appearances, now I want to extend that time, when it happens, or have them add a day. Simple," Okuma adds, "do more, get more."

Team manager Zach Chandler has always trusted Okuma to make good decisions on and off the field and has publicly supported the plan.

Shinji Okuma, when pressed to explain his philosophy, was quick to make the point that, "The key to improving what a pitcher does isn't focusing on his pushups, fancy weight training techniques, this arm exercise or that one. What makes a guy throw better, and with more confidence, is throwing."

Pittsburgh's owner T.J. Aguilar remarks that a growing number of management teams are embracing philosophies that protect pitchers because of the financial investments involved and Okuma's new approach is cutting directly against that grain. "It's up to Chandler whether this translates into more innings pitched. It's up to Okuma to make sure it's effective."
Im all for innovation, but damnit can we do it in spring training!?!?!?!?

5-2 week but the going just 1-1 vs. Phoenix probably ends our Bock chances. Now sitting five games back with 12 left to play, the Roadrunners would have to free fall these last two weeks. Seems unlikely with Phoenix schedule: six remaining against DVS and three against Davenport (no offense UMD/Nel).

However at 87-63, Seattle is all but assured the #1 WC seed and just four wins away from our second best season in franchise history behind only the inaugural 99-63. Don't want to give two much rest down the stretch as we want to keep this streak going. The Pilots are 17-6 in September and 36-13 since August 3rd.

                  ---

The IL Wild Card race should be a lot of fun these final two weeks. We have six against Windy City who is currently 2nd in the WC standings.

                  Sorry Carlos.

Remember when some dumbass said they were pessimistic about Indy's chances and they proceeded to rattle off 10 straight wins?

I put Aymond on the 60 day DL and now he's healthy in 5 days and on the DL for 2.5 more weeks. Guy has turned into quite a player for a 6th round auto-pick.

Another strong sim in California... Hoping to close out the season playing well and hold off Pawtucket for the wild card round!

After struggling all year with the long ball, Mike Morla finally hits his 20th home run. This is his fifth straight season with 20+ homers.

In the history of the BLB there have only been 12 seasons where a second baseman has had 20+ home runs and 20+ steals... Mike Morla has 5 of them!

Now if I could just figure out that bullpen...

6-0 week for the Bats. We've now won 12 in a row, we've clinched the Stout and have a five game edge on Phoenix for home field advantage. We're #1 on the Power Rankings, I think for the first time all season. Feels like KC has had that spot all to themselves since April.

Tom Roseboom won IL Player of the Week after Seibert took the award last sim. He hit .560 with 2 HRs and 8 RBI. Rest of our lineup looked fine as well - I really like what I'm seeing from my hitters lately.

On the pitching side, CJ Cohen has been really good since coming over at the trade deadline. Rookie TJ Mayfield has been excellent in September in his first BLB action.

Good stuff from my team right now.

Our 8 game losing streak pretty much alresdy confirmed our chances. We had 7 games at home and went 0-7. That's how you cement an early exit.
