  • 2023 Minor League Wrap-up

The minor league seasons are over and the sims will only be BLB-related until Spring. This time of year is often quiet on the forums and activity diminishes. 1/3 of the league is basically playing for next year. It's the "slow season."

With that said, I figured we could discuss the 2023 minor league seasons. Teams, players, shit even personnel if so inclined. Any breakout prospects? Any disappointments? How'd your teams do?

I think I’ve come across a good coach in Orlando (A) with Dani Cisneros. We didn’t make the playoffs or anything but he seems to adjust well even as a move key guys up and down the ranks on his roster. A lot of times our minor league teams fall apart when we move successful guys but that didn’t happen with Dani.

And for the record, I rarely mess with the rosters recommendations by our minor league head coaches outside of making sure guys are rested or if I want some to try to learn a new position.

When I gave Chiba the reigns last year with essentially the same team, he was a disaster.

Won it all in Triple-A (3rd year in a row) and in Single-A. Missed the post-season by one game in Double-A. I lost at least a few games giving "Big Stick" Swope reps at SS-LF-CF-RF.

My Triple-A manager now has a LEGENDARY reputation, the only coach with such in our entire organization. He's making $86K.

Wow! How's that happen. My minor league personnel sucks right across the board, and they are expensive as hell... Perhaps that's why my minor leaguers have not developed that well. I still haven't figured out any kind of a system for grooming coaches other than just guessing and tossing money at people.

AA champions here- the team had some top tier talents this year including Davis and Reilly. Samuel Norris who came over from Pawtucket and Ted Lyon also were key pieces.

We need a winter league for some games to watch during the off season... That'd be awesome!
