I completely agree! It seems much more realistic in so many ways.

You only have to look at a team like the Boston Red Sox to see that the learning curve does not trend upward quickly and forever. Guys like Mookie Betts and Xander Bogearts looked like a young Nomar Garciaparra and Mike Trout a year or two ago, and now they trend more towards being really good and not hall of fameish.

Even a guy like Aaron Judge, took years to develop with middling stats before unloading on any and all pitchers this year.

I think not having all of the answers from year to year has made the game more fun... more frustrating at times... but way more fun.

It's also nice to see different teams fighting for playoff spots, and other perennial teams on the outside looking in.

Apparently neither... Ulloa won the DWI with a position of 4 and ratings of 4/3/3/3... or maybe it just says more about the sluggers that play first that his defensive acumen.

To be fair, those are pretty good ratings for a 1B in the BLB.
