    1) Thanks, Brad.

2), Man, fuck me. Four one-run losses in six games?

I really wonder how good this team would be if my three best relievers (shove been dominant the last three years) hadn't fallen completely off of a cliff!

Ingle, Brown, and Eguia have combined for 15 blown saves and 18 losses!

Including blowing a 4 run lead in the bottom of the ninth to Pittsburgh this week.

This game can be unbelievably frustrating at times.

Granted the blown save did come in a little league diamond in Pittsburgh, but Ingle continues to put way too many guys on base.

        Some perspective...

First, all three of these guys still have ERAs better than the league average.

I mean, Egua's only major change in terms of performance is going from a very fortunate .261 BABIP last year to an unfortunate .322 BABIP in 2023. Some of that is simply bad luck and some of it is your defense being not so good. Egua's FIP actually dropped by more than a full run.

Ingle is giving up an abnormal number of home runs. It's a bummer. It happens sometimes — especially in the small samples for relief pitchers. It seems like he's settled in though. He surrendered three homers in April and four in May, but only three in June and July combined. He's also the victim of an even worse BABIP (.363) than Egua.

Like Egua, Brown went from a BABIP around .260 to a more normal BABIP of .295.

I think your defense is the issue more than anything else. Your outfield in particular doesn't get to many balls. (Wright lost any legs he had left.) And your infield defense — especially at this stage of Wilkinson's career — is mediocre at best.

I choose to blame it on the game engine rather than my poor general manager skills. But points well taken... My defence does not cover the ground it has in the past.

            Pawtucket 5-2. 17-8 for July.

Ummm, get on board this party train folks?????

August will basically be the test for us as the schedule becomes much more difficult. We simply took advantage of a weak July. If we can stay in this sucker at the end of that month, might be able to make a wildcard bid.

Farm system is deep, our future is bright, its just not our time yet. Were ahead of schedule.

Glad to put Phoenix in our rearview mirror. They've handed us 6 L's in the last 2 weeks after a home and home and we're now 2-10 against them on the year. We will have no answer for them come playoff time.

A 7-0 road trip against two potential playoff teams? I'll take it.

Sorry about the delay on the utility being updated. I had uploaded the files to the wrong folder this morning; after realizing the error I had moved them to the correct location and ran the update. Should be good to go now.

With shit falling apart, it would be nice if I could have another top 100 pitching prospect not go down for 14 months for the second straight year.

Speaking of falling apart, wtf, even Johnny Knott, who seemingly swings a boat paddle, can't hit shit this year.

Have we ever figured out the years spaced between when our media contract comes up??

Looks like we timed this well as mine keeps changing for the better, but in all seriousness it doesn't move year to year so what drives it?? Shouldn't there be a "expires in 202X" somewhere??

It was a great week for the Bats, as we hit the road and won 3 in Denver before sweeping Seattle in 4. That gives us a 10-1 road trip in the Bock, going back to last sim. I'd settle for any kind of winning record on the road, so this has been a pretty great stretch for us.

For the month, we're 21-4. We've outscored our opponents 139-64 in July as our offense has woken up while the pitching staff has continued to look really good despite not having Calligan. We're hot right now.

Our star of the month is probably CJ Turnbow, who's hit .333 (.976 OPS) with 23 RBI, but nobody has really been bad. Yonke has been our worst regular hitter (.230 BA), so it's great to have the rest of the team picking it up for our star.

On the mound, Carroll has a 1.21 ERA this month, JP Lawrence has only given up one run in 15 appearances and Jalen Lafargue hasn't allowed any runs in 15 innings in July. I'm still surprised by how effective my bullpen has been this season since we don't really have a bunch of stars out there.

Our schedule looks pretty difficult coming up in August, but we've put ourselves in a good spot.
