  • SIM COMPLETE - 1985 - FA6

    Next sim: Thursday

HTML is updated except for player pages. For some reason trying to generate the player pages is crashing the game. Also, the game didn't create the draft class for some reason. I'll make sure it gets done during the next sim. I don't believe we need to tell our scouts to scout it anymore so it shouldn't be a big deal.

Well I got Flynn and Guzma... and with that... my offseason should be complete.

Now we wait till spring training!

Disappointing for me that Sanchez ended up signing for the same extension I offered him at the end of last season.

Great signings by Denver and Washington. I was shocked to see McNeilage get what he did. I offered Flynn more per season than Cali, but I only wanted him for 2 years, and my offer wasn't much more than he received.

I've spent a grand total of $500,000 in FA this year. Might not be a great decision (we're Virginia... they never are)... but I wasn't overpaying for FA's this year. I made three total offers.... the backup C that I got for 500K and a lowball offer to the two Starters that went to Vegas this sim. Not going to get burned by bad contracts anymore.

Wow, 20 per for Stapley, a career .240 hitter. Is the second year an option? I wonder if his contract will handcuff Philly around the trade deadline...

i just met his demands. didn't think it was all that outrageous. only 3 years. he's 34. i suppose it's ace money for a #2 starter, but eh. i've seen worse contracts handed out.

I really didn't pay much attention to his demands. I just assumed he was on the decline. He did put up good number last year though.

i suppose. he did play in one of the toughest divisions last year....and i had all this money burning a hole in my pocket after i traded away 30 million in contracts!

I liked McNeigle (as did my Scout)... just not for $13.0 per. I tried to brew up an incentive laden deal with the hopes that on a 30 day sim it would be the best offer he'd settle. It was one of those... great if I get him.... meh if I don't. I actually did want Arpad more as my #4/5... but I didn't want to lock into the two years so I tried to offer him $4.0 for this year and $5.0 on a team option.... can't blame him for taking the two guarenteed years.

Just cinched the fact that I will have at least 1... if not 2 rookie starters in my rotation again this year. Bring on the #1 pick!

Yeah... he was a steal at 6 million last year... i'd have waited till the end to try and sign him this year... not a chance in hell he puts up the same numbers he did last year.

                        *I hope*

I'm shocked that someone met McNeilage's demands. I offered him 2/12 and he said GTFO, understandably.

Landed a decent RP in Tribe but lost out on Lewis, sigh. I offered him 4/52 which is more money not only overall but per year than Washington. I guess he wasn't a fan of the 4th year being a mutual option. To the drawing board I go.

Ha, I offered McNeilage almost nothing since it seemed that no one was offering him a dime. I never expected him to sign, but I gave it a shot.

I had to get a player like Sanchez. My offense was terrible last season. This now gives me a chance to bat Tesina third, with Sanchez second. I like it.

Just got this great piece of news...

                              M. Padilla was injured while playing dodgeball with his teammates. The Diagnosis: partially torn labrum. He's expected to miss about 12-13 months.

Miguel Angel Padilla is the #8 OVERALL prospect in the BLB. He is currently in Triple-A and was a September call-up.
