Pawtucket 4-3. Seems thats our way of climbing the ladder this season (4-3) Either way it keeps us in the hunt. I know what can make us better, its there as plain as day. Just unwilling to part with money/ people right now so this might be our character for the remainder of this season.

Other news: We climb to #7 now for our farm system. Really happy with the depth we have. Now to find a place for Wanzer who looks more then ready. 3B Naggy and C Johnson are in AAA, but they aint there yet.

Patience. Something new we are trying at Pawtucket.

        45.

45 combined draft picks and UDFA were added to Seattles org.

Yet, I'm the one who games the system....

Weird, I have Joey Maurer's pitch count at 95 and he threw 133 in his last start. Pitched his ass off, but hopefully that's a one time deal.

            1. What do draft picks have to do with anything? Are you suggesting we set a cap on maximum draft picks per year? Write it up and put it to vote. I had 14 draft picks, two of which are out for 4+ months and will be on the DL until the off-season.

            2. This sim I signed 25 UDFAs, eight of which I signed to a bonus. I have a ton of filler at the Triple-A and Double-A levels that will be replaced by call-ups. I'm sure Andrew has this problem as well as an expansion franchise. Single-A rosters are set to 45 until cut day and I plan to use the extra 15 spots to make decisions.

            3. I haven't had one single roster violation all season and my DFA will be 100% clear come "cut day."

            4. Not a single player on my DL is healthy. You have NINE healthy players on the disabled list. Some, such as P Gerard Morales, had short injuries (day-to-day for 4 days) and were hurt in 2022! Morales didn't even have to go on the DL with his day to day injury but has been 100% healthy since August of 2022. Almost a full season.

If the pitcher is throwing a gem, pitch counts aren't always strictly enforced....or if your bullpen is exhausted, this can happen too.

Pat once signed something like 150 minor league players in one SIM. This is actually improvement!

I feel like it was closer to 200.

5-2 for the Bats this week. So far this season we've done our normal thing, win plenty of regular season games. I assume this will end with us doing our normal thing come playoff time, meekly going out in the 2nd round. But, until then I'll continue to watch the results come in.

We did plenty of things well this sim, but our pitching continues to be our strength. Calligan is still out for a while and Yang has come back to earth, but Dave Smith has stepped up since returning from AAA while Carroll and Villasenor are both hot now. I wasn't expecting a ton from my bullpen this year, but they've been solid so far, led by Lawrence who's racking up saves at a record pace right now.

That brings up a good point...

Didn't Brad make a comment near the beginning of the season that we were going to change the voting/rule situation? Where majority rules or something? Maybe just a dream. I have a lot of BLB dreams.

I want a rules committee. Like 7 or 9 people. I will be Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

                          Ouch!

I just looked this guy up...he had the Flu. Must have been a bad strain.

Denver goes 4-3. Phoenix goes 5-2 and gains a game.

But Sully is shaking in his pants and asking for help. Defend your division with your hands, man!

6-0 and continuing to roll. I'm shocked at how well our pitching staff has performed this season. Our fielding has improved a lot, especially TJ Corbett at 3B.
