6-0 and continuing to roll. I'm shocked at how well our pitching staff has performed this season. Our fielding has improved a lot, especially TJ Corbett at 3B.

1-5, about on par with what we've been doing most of the way. Still getting to know my team but I feel like we're making some progress!

1. What do draft picks have to do with anything? Are you suggesting we set a cap on maximum draft picks per year? Write it up and put it to vote. I had 14 draft picks, two of which are out for 4+ months and will be on the DL until the off-season.

2. This sim I signed 25 UDFAs, eight of which I signed to a bonus. I have a ton of filler at the Triple-A and Double-A levels that will be replaced by call-ups. I'm sure Andrew has this problem as well as an expansion franchise. Single-A rosters are set to 45 until cut day and I plan to use the extra 15 spots to make decisions.

3. I haven't had one single roster violation all season and my DFA will be 100% clear come "cut day."

4. Not a single player on my DL is healthy. You have NINE healthy players on the disabled list. Some, such as P Gerard Morales, had short injuries (day-to-day for 4 days) and were hurt in 2022! Morales didn't even have to go on the DL with his day to day injury but has been 100% healthy since August of 2022. Almost a full season.

Nope. I'm saying that when you draft 14 players or there about, you should have more foresight than to sign another 28 players. Because you'll do the same shit next year and then all those fuckin players you signed will bbe released like you're going to do now. No worries though, I've built a decent farm system with guys that you've cut so it's cool with me

At what point does that "expansion" tag lose its luster? You've made the playoffs and structured contracts to take advantage of the international market. You've picked high in the draft, you've had tons of picks....it's like saying "the expansion Washington nationals have to rebuild their system" Its tired

heres the deal chief, when they stop doing it in real life, I'll stop doing it in a game. We're being overly cautious with all of our players. I put Lovera on the DL for an injury that lasted 5 days. I'll prob leave him there this sim too, who the fuck are you to say how long a player should be on the DL for? Have you seen any medical reports?

No. You haven't. And if you did that's a lawsuit for a hipaa violation. So which is it? You didn't see it or you did?

Oh btw here's that proof of EVERY MLB team using the phantom DL. Maybe you should have so you could end up keeping even 55% of the players you signed.

I don't understand how that is a problem? 80 players signed minor league contracts this sim. 80! I signed 25 UDFAs. How am I to know that my offer will take? There were plenty of UDFAs that received an offer from me that I was either outbid on the bonus or they just signed with a team they liked better. I'm sure of the 25 UDFAs I did sign, I bet probably half of them received minor league offers from other teams. Factoring randomness, if you re-simmed with the same files, it wouldn't be out of the question that I only ended up with say 15 UDFAs signing, for instance.

I'm not using it as a crutch as I had one of the best teams in the BLB during our inaugural season, a team built exclusively with spare parts of other clubs. With a few lucky dice rolls and better health, the 2017 or 2018 Pilots could have won a Brewmaster's. Or factor in that Kansas City is the best team in baseball right now. What I'm referencing with the "expansion" tag is that Seattle and KC only have seven drafts in their history. That might seem like a lot but it's really not. The depth just isn't there like it is with other clubs. Take our inaugural pick, P Tom "Domino" King for example. He turned 23 in May. There are tons of 23-year-olds still on the developmental path in the minor leagues. In fact, there are nine prospects on the Top 100 who are 23. There are five prospects on that same list that are 24 and three that are 25. By that metric, I'd say Seattle and Kansas City has probably two more drafts before everything is "square" in the minor leagues across the board. Maybe even three.
