Weird Philly-centric side note: Tom Lewis, 2 months into the season, is on pace for just 13 2Bs. During his career he's averaged right at 32 per so early on this a bit of an anomaly. I'm sure it will normalize a bit, but it seems a few more of his 2Bs are actually leaving the yard so far this season.

Another Philly note: Ervin Ventura has apparently heard the rumblings that the front office is leaning towards declining his $20mil option for next season and is off to his best start in years. He's playing like 2018 Ervin Ventura (minus the HR pop) so far this season.

Philly will be flush with cash after this year and the Winning it All bonus.

So wanted this guy and we pushed hard to try to land him. If we barely miss playoffs I'm gonna say he was the difference.

Philly needs the league to implement a "Should have one it all bonus" before we can actually benefit from these cash bonuses. We have a built-in "into the ditch" factor for our organization.

Also, hard to be flush with cash when you're rolling a payroll that could make a nice small payment on the national debt.

Something tells me Phoenix, KC and Pitt might have some say so in this one.

DL has won 8 ot the last 10 also. Remember at one point IL we had Clay's reign of terror followed by Pat's threepeat. Wow have times changed.

                        IL needs the DH.

1-2 vs. Philly, 2-1 vs. Batavia

Big story of the sim was injuries. RF Gary Bidwell strained his hamstring and will miss six weeks thus the revolving door at RF continues. Ever since we traded away Asiku, no one has stepped up (or stayed on the field) to keep the job. Pat Webb will return from a brief AAA stint for a few starts but Seattle is also calling up 24-year-old Zachary Freund. The former 4th round pick has never been a top prospect and rarely has made an appearance on the teams Top 20 list but he's having a career year in Triple-A (.342/.958) and for the first time he wants majors. Seattle also lost AAAA RP TJ Reyburn for the season. Not a huge loss but he was our #1 backup plan RP in Triple-A and a September call up.

This is our first season since the inaugural year in Seattle with a new team doctor. He's recovery focus, and is probably one of the very best in the league with his recovery ratings...but his prevention is average at best. I don't know how much affect these things have, personnel and what not, but early results seem to be fairly accurate to his ratings. I've probably had more injuries through the first two months of the season than I had in probably four months with my old doctor. The returns seem short and hopeful as a recovery doctor, they don't lose ratings/potentials.

Oh and SP CJ McVicker is the man.

Really would open up the trade market thats for sure. I'm not in the IL, but do you owners actually look at the pitchers hitting ratings?? Just curious.

As for the recent trend of the DL dominance , its what it is a tend. Sure it will swing back.
