Well looks like New Orleans was auto'ed onto Tom Carr. Not a bad pick. Had him high as a lefty in Rocky Top, except I prefer better defense this early in the draft.

Didn't auto, got the pick in with about 20 minutes left. Sorry for the wait guys.

Went with 2B Pat Pierce. Debated between him and a pitcher but the top prospects I have are all pitchers so it was time to get a bat to go with them. Pierce has outstanding power potential and plays good second base. If he develops like my scout says he should he'll be a good player for the Brawlers for years. Of course he could turn out to be a big dud where most of the hitters I pick seem to go.

And just like that Davenport took Pierce - another good pick.

I went with Dusty Janson. I liked his college numbers and his ratings, but most importantly, I loved his versatility. It's possible he plays alongside Gil Banda in an amazing defensive outfield. Or, we could have amazing 6-4-3 double plays with Dusty Thompson turning two with Dusty Janson. He can be my "worst" defender at a spot until I find someone better to replace him and move him elsewhere on the diamond.

I don't really have the time to set my 7-day lineups and make him a super super utility guy, but it's nice to have the option. I might have him be the sub for every position even if he starts everyday at a set position.

I just like this guy. And he's left-handed. We love our lefties in Denver.

You know what stuck out to me after reading this whole thread? Pat has a kid. How long was I out of the league for? I thought it was 2-3 years...I didn't expect Pat to have a kid (he knew about) for at least 10 more years.
