Never sure how much to read into those.

A lot of it is flawed based on current depth charts.

If only someone would come out with a BLB Preview again....

He's far better at his peak than Evans could have ever hoped to be.

But, like Matt said, to get hit with an extra $3 million or so that I wasn't planning to spend is pretty annoying.
But we have. The first year these new features were introduced we reimbursed the full cost to every team since no one had a chance to plan for them.

I think an argument could be made that we coukd/should reimburse every team an equal share at some baseline (50% of baseline figures?) since technically no new manner of revenue was introduced to help offset the additional costs. We all just had to absorb it and run smaller payrolls.

Especially if the game makes modifications to your choices/settings. I wanted to raise the issue before but it felt self serving when I was seemingly the only one impacted.

Z knows, I bitched to him privately.

Out of this box thought (well something along the lines of what Z has suggested in the past) why don't we require a spending floor at 50% of the baseline AND just lower the baseline for scouting and PD.

Well, I'll join you and say that it's a bit ridiculous that teams are just out millions of dollars because the game decided to make changes to the budgets.

it's the first time I've experienced it, so I didn't know this was an issue.

Eventually this slow and steady thing I'm doing is gonna pay off. I just hope the players that I think are decent (and are playing at a decent level) in A-AAA aren't actually shitbags.

18 is a wonderful animal if you're a sucker for punishment.

There are an insane number of day to day injuries. It's incredible.

In an online league that ran 18 for my first time last season, I had 6+ players with day to day injuries that ran for weeks. My catcher struggled with a day to day hamstring injury for 3 months. It was frustrating but fun.

You can place guys on the DL and have them recover faster but it's no guarantee. The game only says "unknown" when telling you the recovery length. So you can place your star player on the DL for two weeks and see no change.

I do think 18 is a much better game just for how it handles injuries. It's a small feature that really has a huge impact on the game.

That's just about the only difference I think we would see. We can always wait for 19 or whatever.

                                Yes. I've tested it myself.
