    Next SIM Sunday 9/3

League file is up. HTML and Utility in process

Files due by 7am ET | 4am PT

    Stat of the Day!

    Sun 9/3 - Spring Training 1
    Mon 9/4 - Spring Training 2
    Wed 9/6 - Opening Day

    Reminder

    14. CONTRACTS
    • If Team Option is used the Buyout must be the difference between Option year and highest Guaranteed year.
    • Only one Team Option may be used per contract, and it must be in the last year of the contract. This prevents people from stacking Player Options after the Team Option.
    • Players cannot be signed to contract extensions until after they have received their second arbitration contract. Players become eligible for contract extensions once they have two "Received a 1-year contract worth a total of $xx through arbitration." in their player history

Signed veteran catcher Dave Piekarski to share the catching duties with Hugo Paulino. This reunites the old Pawtucket pair of Piekarski and McDade. Hopefully there is still some life in that bat. He definitely had gas in the tank for Hartford last year.

Pawtucket lands RP Zach Reeves and C Vinny Flores.

When Zach left Pawtucket he was coming off a career season as a starter. Years later he's a pretty dam good relief pitcher and fills a hole for us at the setup roll.

Vinny is simply a play maker we are lacking on the offense.

i don't think we are a playoff team, but I do think we filled some holes this offseason especially with our pitching,

After not deciding to go all in on Pat Evans, Seattle dumped majority of it's remaining money to scouting and player development.

The late-FA signing I love is SP Brooks to PHO. Sully might be a ghost on the forums but to get a pitcher of that quality for likely a $4M rental is a savvy move.

Seattle signed (shocking) a bunch of minor leaguers this sim. With 15 roster spots opening up for Spring Training, and only 26 players on BLB contracts, the roster will be filled with, well "filler." Bring in some longshots to fill out the 40 for the month.

        Thanks Brad!

If I had been able to move Reed prior to the sim, I would have signed Brooks just based on knowing that's exactly the kind of low risk move Sully would make. And I would have done it simply to block him.

Still sucks you got Dusty as he was the perfect swing starter for the DL league, but we settled on a set up lefty instead.

Predictions are out and Pawtucket slated for 88 wins? Hmmm.

                  Here's something for Z

T.J. Davis leadership turned to Normal. He used to have Very High everything. It was something Z found unique.

I wonder how a guy becomes less of a leader. Maybe old age has weakened his resolve for today's youth.

So my owner once again adds money to the scouting budget on his own and now it's locked...what type of BS is that. In the grand scheme the $2m extra doesn't kill me this season but he did it twice this offseason to me.

Overpaid both Evans and Kidwell this off season to guarantee decent, dignified ends to their careers. We're getting the band back together!

My budgets were also reset again this sim and are locked. I don't know that I've ever had that issue before, but the numbers were definitely changed again this sim and nothing I can do about it now.
