Hoping we found a hidden gem in RP Jarod Lewis. Scout digs him. Posted below 4.00 in four straight seasons, yet spent all of 2023 in AAA?? Maybe it was his negative WAR who knows, but lefties are hard to really find and scout had him as a 6-6-5 including a plus curveball. Gets a nice one year salary and a lower team option in your two if he performs.

Possibly looking to add a lefty setup pitcher and there appears to be one via free agency....but his salary demand still a bit too high.

Basically Pawtucket has two players on its radar for the rest of free agency.

A couple minor signings in Washington, which is about all we can do. Hopefully these guys will help fill out the roster and provide a little bit of depth. I like Yang as a 5th/6th starter option who could be also be used as a reliever once Honea is healthy and back in the rotation. He'd had some success in the past before having a rough year in 2022, but he's still young enough to think he can bounce back. I've also signed former President Zachary Taylor and lefty Garret Martin to compete for spots as utility man and in the bullpen.

In probably bigger news, I also re-signed JP Lawrence, keeping our star reliever in town for 5 more years. I'm happy to get that one done, hopefully I can figure out a couple more extensions for my young core soon, but I'll have to make decisions on which ones I'll be keeping. Can't afford them all.

I've been able to revamp the rotation. If they pitch to their career numbers they could be solid:

          Aidan Johnson
          Pat Kauffman
          Joey Mahronic
          Dave Hopkins (R)
          Dante Vigueras
          Tommy Morgan/Jimmy Knutson (R)

The bullpen still needs work but looks to be stabilized:

          CL Brendan Hurst
          SU Kevin Hurley (R)/Tommy Morgan
          MR Jimmy George
          MR Tom Bruce (R)
          MR Pat Margis

Now, if I could find two established star BLB hitters we could probably make the wildcard.

If you've got someone let me know.

The free agent pitchers were pretty good this year. The issue....today a 6-6-6 pitchers doesn't always perform like one. Actually your lucky at times if they even have an average season. Alot harder to read now. Hoping what we got can actually perform.

Hitters are good, but mostly old. Alot of these guys looks like a DH or 1B. Can't even say LF cuz if you put a guy with a range of 4 or worse your in serious trouble. In this new age defense really screws me up.

            Not complaining, just observations.

Seattle continues to not sign any BLB players and rumors are swirling they have decided to dump their remaining funds into scouting and player development.

I decided to bump it up after remembering I have your top 5 pick.

Have until ST to decide but right now it's a little less than $5M. Mostly focused on the draft.
