We won the 1 game we planned on "punting" (starting Jones in Gm 1 anticipating a Carroll led shutdown), setting up our top 2 rotation arms on full rest for Gms 2 and 3. It almost worked (Baldiwin 7IP | 2ER and Bynum 8IP | 1 ER), but our shaky/leaky bullpen showed their true colors.

In two games Indy had a combined 11 Errors, Passed Balls, Wild Pitches, and HBP. For a series that was decided by a total of 3 runs, it's not overly encouraging on my end. Sure, we took advantage of the opportunities but these are fluke events that don't normally happen at the highest level. There are some encouraging signs though, the bats seemed to be there we hit a few HR, and Ivan Sepulveda pitched really well out of the pen. Ke was great in game 2, so we will need him to be excellent in this next series vs KC. I'm excited to see how Lofink dominates us, but this will definitely be a quick series for KC because we blow.

However, if we can make this a series decided by the bullpen somehow...we have a chance. Couple changes to the roster and we're ready to get that gate.
With my pitching I should never lose a game in which I score 9 runs. Went with Evans over Roman in game 1 because I wanted the ground ball pitcher in Pittsburgh, and it backfired big time.

Really sorry to see Evans shit the bed like that. His playoff start for us last year didn't go so well either. In his career he's always been really hit or miss/streaky when it comes to the playoffs.

Still has another year to redeem himself if he opts in.

California is in! Let's do this! Hopefully we give Toronto a better series than we did last year. Unfortunately WC hero Dan Bradford is gassed for the upcoming series.

Yea. I misread your schedule. Must've saw your final regular season series.

That or I my mind just couldn't accept the fact that Toronto won another division title.

Baltimore is in and ready to win with a clean sweep.

                          But still, good luck Batavia.
