    I won't hesitate to vote for non-closers if the resume dictates it, especially considering they generally pitch more innings. I'd take a guy with a 1.75 ERA over 100 innings over a closer with 1.75 ERA, 40 saves, and 70 innings.

      Yet almost every team's best arm closes out games.

      Even in the MLB, Rivera's most productive and valuable year was 1996, when he was a set up guy, but because some random scorekeeper said the most valuable stat in baseball was the save, more times than not the team's best pitcher (ahem Zach Britton) never enters the game.

      Having said that, without direct control of my bullpen it makes the most sense for me to have Ingle close out games.

            Yes they do! My first 5 or six seasons dragged on and on... Definitely much better fighting for a playoff spot. Rebuilds suck while they are in their infancy.

              I think you will find 2023 and 2024 much more enjoyable than 2022. It gets better.

                Well after a very bad season the Sharks will miss the playoffs officially, for the 2nd time in 10 years... We had a good run including 2 championships, but is time to learn from the mistakes and move on. Not sure if we are going to carry on with this bunch of suckerfuckers or we are going to sell all of them.

                I have plenty time to decide now, and hopefully I will have internet at Home again next week after 6 weeks without it, so I can return to be full in this marvellous and competitive league.
                Miami Sharks (BLB)
                * BLB Champions --> 2017, 2020.

                Ohio River Sharks (OSFL)
                * OSFL Bowl CHAMPION > 2036, 2047.

                  JJ, then you'd be interested in voting for Tom Murray.
