That'll be the story of the postseason. This team's toast. Trade block coming soon.

It's interesting how there is a change in performance once you're on that slide or rise.

I remember in 2020 when we suddenly couldn't lose in the second half. Just riding a wave of everyone feeling great.

Now it's the opposite. My guys can't pitch anymore. I'm only getting performances from Davis and Matney. Reed, Johnson and Gotschall (Oh, my Gotschall what has happened to you?) are out there throwing softballs since July.

And the overall team performance doesn't fit the record. We are seriously underperforming when you look at the wins and losses but the stats don't entirely match up, which goes back to my first comment - it's like we can't do anything to fix it but wait out the season.

So we wait it out and try again next year.

Momentum is a bitch in OOTP 17. Or it can be your friend.

Seattle clinches a wild card birth and is three games up on Philly for the #3 seed after a 5-1 week vs. Den, @ Pho. Feels good to be back in the dance. I doubt we make much noise no matter who our WC opponent is but just happy to be get some playoff revenue.

SP Jayden Jones became the franchise all-time leader in strikeouts. Kid really put it together this season.

Ulloa is up to 58. Kelly at 54.

Momentum was on our side this week, and we went 6-1. We're up to 100 wins now, making it two straight years getting to that mark. But, like most weeks this season, we didn't really make up any ground and we're headed for the wildcard. We've done everything I could have hoped for, but it just won't be enough to retain our Stout crown for a 4th straight year.

Dave Schneider won IL Player of the Week, hitting .433 with 4 HRs and 11 RBI. As a team, we put up 50 runs on the week, despite getting shut out in the finale. We'll head in to the final week with 8 guys on the "Who's Hot" list and we'll most likely be the highest scoring team in the IL this year.

We got pretty good performances from the guys on the mound. Jalen Lafargue has been a big surprise in the few games I've let him start and Dave Smith had a nice game too after he got sent down for most of the second half. Neither figures to be in the playoff rotation, but maybe they deserve a shot at the rotation next year.

With us being 6 games out, it'll be a rest week for us to end the year. Ed Carroll's regular season is almost certainly over. If so, he'll finish with 301 strikeouts, becoming only the second player in BLB history to get to 300 in a season.

3 game cushion with 6 to play. Just need Evans to stop pitching like an asshole and we'll be set for the playoffs.

Another much needed sim. I had given up on chasing down Kansas City, until the juggernaut Exports took 2 games from them this week. Thanks Exports!

Perhaps the most under appreciated pitcher in the BLB, Dan Bradford continues to roll in his amazing season... 9 of his last 10 games at least 7 and 2/3 innings pitched to push his record to 17-4.

We'll see what happens this week, but catching Kansas City and skipping the Wild Card round would be awful nice.

Another great Mike Morla season as he continues his assault on many Kodiak single season records.

                  Exciting final week!

5-2 as this team continues to rewrite Bulldog history. We are up to 106 wins (the most in team history) and I figure we'll probably top out at about 110. We can't shut everyone down yet since mathematically, Washington could force a Lonnie Coleman.

Tell you what, I was planning on only giving Joiner a cup of coffee and starting him back at AAA next year, but he might be my starting RF if I make the playoffs. He good.

Unfortunately, he isn't post-season eligible. Players are required to be on the 40-man by September 1st to be eligible for the playoffs. Joiner wasn't added to the 40-man until September 5th.

                              Pawtucket 3-2.

That 0-6 previous week really killed us for goals.

We probably end the season with more wins then last year, but unless a miracle happens short of our 70 win goal.
