At the time of his draft, OSA had him at 4/5/5 and my scout had him at 3/6/5.

He jumped way past both predictions. What intrigues me is that he was able to do this with a Low work ethic.
He didn't put up great numbers in college either.

Just another example which proves that despite all the various information provided to help us identify future BLB players, there's still some randomness to it all.

BDub, what did your scout say about Kelly during his draft year?
Kinda just an above average guy. He has had a massive power bump though so he has exceeded expectations. I have never experienced a player get a huge bump like he has.

He wants $13M to re-sign. He will get five starts down the stretch and maybe a post-season appearance, then he's headed to free-agency.

Inexplicable 7 game lead for a shot at the playoffs for Philly, but it might not be as secure as it sounds. Our schedule gets brutal starting this week with BAL, BAT and WAS (plus, no more Seattle on the schedule). I think we can hang on to at least the 2nd spot, but it won't be a cakewalk.

Steve Suarez notched seven hits before his injury. In doing so he passed Everardo Gremades for fourth place all-time.

His home run chase is probably too big a distraction and you should move him to the minors or trade him to a division rival in the Midwest along a major river.

C Dave Piekarski..... what a pick up for Hartford. Knew we had to let him go last season, still love seeing him play at a high level at 36.
