I know we didn't stop it last year. Seems like only a few GMs prefer that.

        I say, power thru.

Every year I begrudgingly talk myself into doing a massive roster expansion and my club apparently goes downhill right away.

Maybe 2022 is finally the year I add only a few players.

Idk what the hell I'm going to do. Want to get guys like Joiner and McDaniel some reps, but my team is trying to piss away our playoff chances so I may just call up some defensive replacements and bullpen arms.

I always call up the max allowable players possible. Then, when I check the box score, I want to see as many guys put into the game as possible, because my hope is that we grind out 3.5/4 hour games to piss off the clubhouse staff who are waiting around knowing that we're going to get eliminated in the playoffs, and for the visiting staff I want them to know that they're going to have to clean up someone else's champagne off the carpets. Now, you may think that I'm a bad person for this, but I sit here knowing how much money the winning team is going to tip those guys when they're drunk and just eliminated the Millers from the postseason (which lets be honest, not tough to do) so it's my way of making them earn those tips prior to getting them

Might depend on intangibles of the call ups.

I know you've been wondering, maybe even excited about how many players Pawtucket is bring up so now I'll tell you:

C Dave Finkelstein- Mr defensive wizard from what my scout says. Which means he probably sucks behind the plate and should play 2B

2B R.J. McGlashing- My scout says he can "occasionally flash the leather" so he probably wears his glove on the wrong hand. Suppose to have a great eye also , but in his short stint at the BLB level he had 1 walk and 12 strikeouts.

1B Johnny Schara- we spent a better part of a season and a half trying to get him to play 3B, but after an impressive -14.8 ZR and even more impressive .855 EFF it was time to give up that pipe dream. Yeah bad range, but you'd figure a 6 errors, 7 arm, 6 for DP would fare least a bit better? Anyway like his bat so he will have his uses.

SS Alex Velez - Just giving him a look right now. He's not ready so just giving him some extra practice at SS since my scout says "to inconsistent to be reliable at SS" . On a completely different subject he was a 2021 A The Herbert Glove Wizard Award winner a year playing SS

Think the summary in all this is my scout might get fired at seasons end.
