It's hard to know what you'll get in any given year from your speedster.

Motor Sliney swiped 48 two years ago and is only 18 for 27 this year.

In hindsight I'm surprised that my original dimensions were approved. I remember when the league first started, Andrew made graphics of each team's stadium dimensions, and Kennywood was hilarious to look at.

Sometimes I think about proposing that we increase the injury frequency setting from low to normal.

Then I question whether anyone else would support it and don't bother.

Do we have to pay to change the dimensions of the park or can we just do it? Because I'm so ready to make major changes.

6-1 and we gain a 1/2 game up on Washington. It's not a safe lead, but it's the best we've had and probably about as good as it is going to get. I expected us to be a better team this year, but nothing like this.

Fajardo had been amazing during the first half of the season but since the end of July, he's been nearly unhittable. He has only allowed 1 run in his last 37 innings pitched with no walks and 52 K's over that same stretch. Those are MVP numbers when Dropkick doesn't exist.

Probably the most encouraging thing for us so far is that we maintained a high level of performance through the first hold of the season even as DJ Gosser was having a slow start to the season (by his standards). That seems to no longer be the case though as he only trails Yonke in OPS (among starters) since the All-Star break.

What does worry me is how well we are playing in August. Playing this well, this early, probably only sets us up for an epic 1st round loss in the playoffs.

I was trying to figure out how long it's been —in real life time —since I drafted Steve Suarez in 1997.

                            May 14, 2012.

I dug up the draft thread. Kind of funny.

I spent the better part of that day trying to move up. I finally got spot in Los Alamos to send me the 13th pick.
