I'm guessing Lanoie should probably stay as far away from the Baltimore organization as he can. Im very glad we picked up Asiku before the deadline.

Also, getting to 50 obviously isn't nearly as easy as it seems.

Pawtucket 3-4. Probably should of won the final game against Maine to go 4-3, but we like allowing 5 run 9th innings so there went that. Shrug.

In playoff news.....not many races this season. Besides obviously jocking for position in both leagues the only true races appear to be at the #6 spot and the DL is barely even that. #6 in the IL is survival of least fitest.

League in general has definitely shifted to the halves and halve not. The INTL thingy might actually be a good thing since Seattle was able to least break out and compete. The days of player development at the pace we are use might be in fact over.

Our bullpen blew three crucial games against Hartford.

The Pilots go 1-5, including getting swept by the Freedom in Seattle. Lucky for us, Windy City went 0-6, creating a three-way-tie for the final two Wild Card spots between the Blues, Freedom and Pilots each at 62-62.

Only one everyday player, 2B Colin Niebauer, had an OPS over .700. When we get no home runs from Ulloa or Nieto during the same sim, we are in big, big trouble. In one week Seattle went from #2 in the IL in runs scored down to 5th! This lineup lives and dies by the long ball. And when your 3rd highest HR total comes from a part time player, it goes to show how dependent we are on the big internationals. $74M dependent.

We blew another game because our damn manager refuses to budge on his "hook starting pitcher" strategy. Might be looking to make a change at the spot before the season ends, honestly. He's cost us quite a few games because he trusts my young rotation way to much in key situations. In Game 2 of the week, we kinda fucked ourselves for the rest of the sim because we had to throw EIGHT pitchers in an 11 inning game, including the Game 3 starter, who didn't make it out of the 3rd inning in his start. That's the risk you run with inconsistent SP and multiple specialists in the pen. My manager used three pitchers to get four outs, despite the fact that my starter didn't make it out of the 4th inning. Questionable.

In the minors, my Single-A and Double-A teams finished a combined 3.5 games out of the playoffs and there seasons are now over. Luckily, our Triple-A team is loaded with AAAA players and they clinched a few weeks ago. However, we have called up a lot of key contributors to the BLB and Vancouver went just 9-9 down the stretch. Their season should be over shortly as well.

Good 4-2 week cuts the lead in the division to 2.5.

Gotta give some love to Tom Murray, he's having an incredible season out of the pen. He boasts a 2.55 ERA, and in 88 IP he's struck out 138 batters to 33 BB. That's good for a 14.06 K/9 ratio. I love how he's been used as an Andrew Miller type guy who can come into any situation after the starter and clean up a mess. After that he gets the ball to Cohen (1.51 ERA w/PIT), Green (0.00 w/PIT) and Hatch (1.73 w/PIT) in the late innings. If we have any shot, it'll be because of our pen.

A good week at 5-1, but that does us no good since we're chasing a historically great team. We can't beat Baltimore, so it probably doesn't matter than nobody else can either.

I don't know that I've ever had a team that's been as good on the road as this one is. We're 44-21 away from home this year, the best mark in the league. W'e're better when we don't play in front of our home crowd.

Tristan Moody hit 5 HR's this week, so that was the highlight at the plate. He's up to 23 homers this year, a career high. Beyond him, we didn't do too much at the plate, but the hits we did have were timely at least. From the pitchers, Ed Johnstone has been really good lately and Ed Carroll has gotten back to his normal self in August, so we're doing ok on the mound.

Unfortunately for us, we come back home for 6 games coming up. We'll try to keep Ulloa down again before hosting Phoenix. We've really struggled against the Roadrunners, so combined with our inability to beat Baltimore, we're running a pretty clear #3 in the IL.

2-4, bleh. Division hopes are pretty much over but still in the hunt for the #1 wild card spot.

Seattle is now 7-23 against Philly (0-9), DC (3-6) and Baltimore (4-8).

Against the rest of the IL, 55-39.

I looked at the list of top single-game performances this year.

                            http://www.simgamingnetwork.com/blb/...formances.html

I was surprised to see that none of the top 25 single-game hitting outputs this year belong to Andy Ulloa.

What's the record for home runs hit by a team in a season? Curious how we stack up.
