5-1 sim to close out the month against Denver BC and the Roadrunners. Only loss coming to the unflappable Jaylen Mitchell.

5-1 week to close to within a game of the juggernaut Bulldogs. We went 19-7 in July, but that was only good enough to knock one game off our deficit in the division, so we're just going to have to get better. The week started with a 2-0 loss, but from there it was all Bats, as were outscored our opponents 43-11 in the remaining 5 games, including a 3 game sweep of Batavia.

Roger Villasenor won Pitcher of the Month. He's now won that award once in each of the past three seasons, and is up to 15 wins on the year. Ed Carroll got his first win since June 21, hopefully getting out of this little rut that he's been in lately. We had our best month of the season with him being well below his normal self. Unfortunately, Dave Koehler got injured and is out for 2 weeks. Could be worse, and thankfully I've got Calligan to help keep the rotation together now.

Geoff Yonke hit .411/.485/.667 in the month of July. He now leads the IL in batting average and looks like our best hope to avoid a Ulloa Triple Crown. Dave Schneider was IL Player of the Week, Roseboom had another good week at the plate and we rolled after that shutout loss to open the week.

              Washington Bats, 2013-

Millers down 10-3 heading into the bottom of the 8th against Wilmington. Put up a 4 spot to make it 10-7......chip away with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th....10-9, first pitch Johnny Skolfield sees is smashed 417ft for a walk off grand slam, capping a 6 run bottom of the 9th for a 13-10 win. Sweet.

4-2 week. Right where we need to be.

And it's Andy. Manny Nieto is the other guy that's killing it.

I accidentally got it right -- Nieto has zero intentional walks, so "Manny Ulloa" still has four.
