Frickin bullpen blew two games against Toronto.
Cory's been pretty good all year, then he ruins a great outing by Kaser. A'hole.

3-1 week for the Bats in our road series at Denver. Pretty good series at the plate for us, particularly from Geoff Yonke who went 9/14 with a 1.794 OPS.

Roger Villasenor pitched another very good game with 8 scoreless innings. Ed Carroll continues to be in a funk, we're going to need him to get back to his normal self soon since Baltimore doesn't lose any games ever.
Awesome stat... I think our 7 seasons streak will finish this one...
      Miami Sharks (BLB)
      * BLB Champions --> 2017, 2020.

      Ohio River Sharks (OSFL)
      * OSFL Bowl CHAMPION > 2036, 2047.

I've been really pleased with Philip Williams so far in A-ball.
My scout hated him. Has him at 5/5/2 and thinks he's nothing more than a mop-up minor leaguer.
OSA feels much, much differently - 7/5/6.
Not sure I've had a prospect with such a difference between scout and OSA.
He put up great numbers in college and has continued to do so in A-ball.

Another guy I picked, Tom Spradlin, has put up tremendous numbers as well. He's yet to give up a run in 17 innings of relief.
His college stats were crap but OSA likes him and so does my scout.

Pet project Jasper Sheehan, who was a CFer with crazy pitching potential had a rough start to his pro career.
But in his last two starts he's only given up 1 ER in 9.2 innings.
He'll eventually become a reliever but I want to give him work. And with his low stamina (rumors have it the Kodiak GM suffers from the same disorder), our bullpen gets to eat a lot of innings when he's on the mound.

Probably better as a RP but those last two starts were pretty impressive.

Fun prospect to keep an eye on.

That's how I view him too. Just someone fun to watch and see if it pans out.
The long-term goal is to make him a closer/reliever, but I wanted to give him a bit more work.
I may have to move him out of the rotation eventually, but if he continues to do well in 4 to 5 innings of work, I'll keep him there.

I made him our backup CFer for next sim too. He doesn't have terrible potential as a hitter, but I thought it'd be cool to see if he could double-dip the rest of the season.
JD Fazlic is another I'd like to see as a pitcher. 7/6/6 potential. And a lefty.
But his hitting potential is pretty good too.

Certainly impressive. And the current record streak is mostly your doing, but I'm hopeful that I can keep it going for a while.

10 straight from the Tobs to start the league,

No end in sight to the streak, too. It's your team now.

Seattle catcher Pat McKinney had a 2-RBI double in the 9th but it was our rookie closer Roberto Valle who picked up the win the for the IL. The Riders sluggers stole the show. Down 0-2, top of the 9th, C Fowler leads the inning off with a solo shot and then Fred Frederick hit a 3-run PH HR. The IL would go on to win 6-2.
Batavia gave the IL home series advantage in the Brewmasters!

Its really REALLY hard to win with just pure homegrown. Not saying it can't happen, just saying its hard to work a puzzle together from your minors. Kids won't live up to expectations, bomb or morph into 6 left fielders.

Had a really young core last decade without a doubt, but I still in the firm camp you need a few veterans to get you over the hump. Also the follow "prospects" or young players came via trade or free agency:

                              SP Nygaard
                              CF Mason
                              SP Troy Donovan
                              2B Tony Infante
                              CL Diego 'Red' Lovera

Pat covered this once in a thread. Most of my team was actually players from some other teams and yes I core from the draft. When UMD is good again, you'll see something of the same. His prospects comes from others teams.

I also had a lot of talent that didn't fit well together and wasn't over the hill to trade.
