Seattle gets swept by the hottest and arguably best team in baseball the Baltimore Bulldogs. The 0-4 sim drops the Pilots out of the Wild Card #2 spot and now in a three-way tie with Denver and New York for the last WC spot.

The Kodiaks appear to be falling off a cliff... Perhaps my willingness to not give away future assets on the trade market (The only way to build a winner I hear ) will continue to doom my chances.

Oh yeah... We also received word that my fourth BLB infielder this year went down with a long term injury... Yikes! Hopefully the new trainer that we hired can change that...

What a great Stat of the Day: http://www.simgamingnetwork.com/blb/...y.php?fact=208

3-1 week for the Bats in our road series at Denver. Pretty good series at the plate for us, particularly from Geoff Yonke who went 9/14 with a 1.794 OPS.

Roger Villasenor pitched another very good game with 8 scoreless innings. Ed Carroll continues to be in a funk, we're going to need him to get back to his normal self soon since Baltimore doesn't lose any games ever.

If we were in the Japanese league my team would be expected to commit suicide.

Just looked at the All-Star game score.

Seattle had starters at 1B (Ulloa) and LF (Nieto) but they went a combined 0-4. Seattle catcher Pat McKinney had a 2-RBI double in the 9th but it was our rookie closer Roberto Valle who picked up the win the for the IL. The Riders sluggers stole the show. Down 0-2, top of the 9th, C Fowler leads the inning off with a solo shot and then Fred Frederick hit a 3-run PH HR. The IL would go on to win 6-2.
