    It's a smart play.

This was a deep draft and I believe there was a lot of UDFAs that we have seen go in the 6th-10th rounds ever year. It's essentially like buying a late round draft pick for $10-$300k.

I got 5 guys who cost nothing. Very happy. Starting to think post draft pickups are an important piece, but we won't know for 3-4 years.

Everyone my scout liked the OSA hated and their stats were crap. I went after a few but saved my money and lost out.

4-2 on the road going just 1-2 in Batavia, but a surprising sweeping of the Bats in Washington.

We now have a 3-game lead in the Stout, the largest lead that we've had in recent memory. Like everyone else, we made some promising UDFA signings that makes the minors even more enjoyable to follow and will make for some "tough decisions" for the Wednesday sim. Pretty much everyone who hits well against LHP did well, including 3B Pat Femrite, C JJ Hanson, and even newly re-acquired OF Brandan Lanoie made it tough sledding for anyone that brought a LHP against us last week.

Interestingly enough, I was actually wondering about C JJ Hanson and his continued performance against All-World pitcher, Ed Carroll. It seemed like every time Carroll came to town, JJ Hanson has a career day. Surely enough, I looked at Hanson's lifetime performance against Carroll and he is 11/21 with 1 home run vs. Carroll. That's how you step it up against the competition, JJ.

Pawtucket is also at 30. Turns out we had a lot of junk guys to clear out. Drafting bullpen guys really worked out.

Just trying to make the tough decisions right away. The longer I analyze the more likely I am to fall in love with all of them.

I spent $2.7 million on undrafted free agents. Happy with this haul.

Never has there been a more perfectly named member of the New York Knights.
