The Muck...er Rough Riders keep marching right along. We are in the business for a big name SP to anchor the rotation but we are going to see if Hirasawa can get back to his old form when he won the 2017 New Brew and then played well in 2018-2020 before getting lost in the shuffle. If not we will be actively shopping multiple 1st's and Bieszk to try and get one down the road.

We have a good young team. If it wasn't for Stark's PO next year I think we could take that money and really compete, but I think he will take it and push us back another year or so.

And you have a payroll for $96m next season. Cali and Pitt battle it out for a year or so before money and age knocks them down. Then it's Toronto/KC time!

Lol, as badly as you want "age" to knock me down, I hate to tell ya that this ship ain't sinking anytime soon.

Cook, Girard, Kelly, York, Johnson are all here or coming. O'Hearn and Vickers are 28.... just like every year since 2008 when I inherited a good team, I'm going to be around.

You'll get your satisfaction when I get eliminated every year though, but you'll have to suffer with me making it there every year, champ.

And i didn't even have to tank for two decades. I just got to inherit good players.

Another good week in California as we take 5 out of six and for the second week in a row win a series against Kansas City. We continue to pitch extremely well when we aren't giving up the long ball. This continues to plague our staff as we move forward.

Our offence is continuing to balance itself out with three guys at the top of the order batting 0.350+ and a few nice surprises throughout the rest of the order doing their best to get on base and chipping in the odd home run to keep other teams honest.

That was my mistake... I inherited a dumpster fire in California.

That was your first problem. Come on Paul, the only way you'll ever have success is by inheriting good players. It basically guarantees you 15-20 years of missing the playoffs 2 or 3 times max

Live and learn... Hopefully we can keep the train rolling that is starting to develop in California.

Nope, suck it JJ you didn't inherit a good team so you can't win, it'll only be Toronto and KC. Toronto with their war chest of arms....or...well their then 36 year old ace, and their 5 guys in the lineup with 100 mil dollar contracts!!

KC will be good but they won't have Jan Heckman or Micah Laird!!!

Edit: Wait, those are two more guys that could potentially be good in a few years for the Millers. Hmm, I must have forgotten about them when I made my point about not falling off.
