Happy to see Tom Driggs throwing a complete game against NO.

Pat Harrington is starting to settle in the BLB and now has a 0.4 WAR so far, good as he will have to replace Kauffman at the end of the season at the bottom of the rotation.

Tom Christopher lost the game against Maine but won it against NO, at some point we will have start hitting and help our pitchers a little bit...

Batchelor put the ball over the fence to give us the W against New Orleans with a runner on base 2-1, that's it, Dallas style...

Seems that everyone is waking up and we are only 3 games behind the Wild car spot... Let's see if we can make it...

By the way Leon did an excellent job in his first week dressed as a Shark: .286 / .375 / .714 / 1.089 0.1 ZR and 1 Double play from the hot spot.

The Sim: 3-3 week; 1-2 @ NY, 2-1 vs. Denver. Could have been 6-0 with some clutch pitching/hitting as all loses were by one run.

The Good: IF Geoff "Smooth" Meckfessel has played very well in his short rookie stint: .305/.847, playing 2B, 3B and SS. I think the highest he has ever been on the top prospect list was in the 90s and it usually wouldn't last for long. Acquired in the trade with Philadelphia for C Billy Herrera. He has the versatility to also play in the OF and will be used as a swiss-army knife for the Pilots.

The Bad: Can we spread some of the runs around? All three losses by one run....the three wins by 16 runs.

The Ugly: Seattle ranks 11th in the IL in runs allowed, 11th in defense, 12th in hits allowed, 12th in walks allowed... Even a marginal improvement in these areas and we might be a .500 ball club.

Next Week: 3 vs. Davenport, 3 @ Windy City; Seattle is 25-31, 2.5 games back of a Wild Card. This is a big month for the Pilots with all the remaining opponents from the Bock. By July 1st, we will have a very good idea if we are a contender or pretender.

Still over 11,000 files left. Maybe another 30 minutes?

Denver can't hit. I also want to keep Banuelos around until retirement.

Well... 1000th post! I can't believe how quickly BLB time passes! I'm looking forward to a few thousand more! Can't get enough of this BLB stuff!

We completed a very good month of May and and started June by taking 6 of 7 on the road against Montreal and Kansas City. Taking three of four in Kansas City was a nice way to finish the sim.

The offence seems to be a little more well rounded, although we still have very little power, and continue to give up an inordinate number of long balls. We are starting to slowly get guys back off of the injured list and will slowly work them back into the order.

Signed as a backup for $10 million, Xavier Garnett has been a very nice addition subbing in at 2b, ss, and 3b and providing adequate to above average defence in all three spots.

A nice bonus this month as JR Daniels, whose only playing regularly due to all of the injuries took home the Rookie of the Month and is hitting a healthy 0.358/0.391/0.850 while playing acceptable defence in centre field.

Garnett got severely underrated because of his salary.

I'm glad he did. He's worked out really well in California.
