  • After 6.6 and 6.8, my draft class is pretty much set, and I'm super happy with it:

    1.8 - SS Pat Guizzeti
    2.3 - C Jamari Bess
    2.8 - CF Jamie Spencer
    3.8 - SP Emmitt Woodford
    3.15 - SS Tom Mare
    3.16 - RP Dante Madden
    5.8 - SP Wes Ramsey
    6.6 - 2B Shaun Koeberle
    6.8 - 1B Colin Meisch

Added a ton of offensive depth, which my system desperately needed. The two starting pitchers are lottery tickets so I'm hoping my scout led me down the right path.

Its more realistic for a scout to be optimistic about the draft versus before where your scout wondered why these guys were even playing baseball.

      • I think SS Pat Guizzeti has a chance to be a really good player. According to OSA, there are only three players with a "7" on eye. He still has a long way to go to get there but his 61 walks this season was an NCAA record.

After grasping onto a Pat tidbit many BLB drafts ago... I am big fan of the 'eye' rating.

          • I still think eye is severely underrated in the BLB.

UMD just signed Otero for $750k in May. He lead the entire BLB in OBP in 2021. He's showing major decline in other areas but he still has a "7" eye and will probably be flipped at the deadline for a nice pick to a team that needs to get players on base.

                          • With all these prospects, I've love to add a Rookie team to our farm systems.
I'm going to have to make some tough choices when these new players are added to my Kingsville roster.

Jasper Sheehan is someone I'm excited about as I want to make him a full time pitcher.

                            • I couldn't pull the trigger on Pat Bush, so I'm glad someone else did. His BABIP is truly odd.
