My scout had his contact as a "6" once. The utility has his contact only a "3" potential so he might not ever be able to hit well enough for the BLB. We have seen plenty of these guys.

But he ranks pretty high on the current list, too.

I think if he didn't have the ACL, he would have been drafted a while ago.

It would have been a coin toss between him and Feola had he not been popped one pick before.

            • Went with Rice SP Wes Ramsey at 5.8. Needs to improve his command, but the intangibles are good, and the fact that he's on the top pitchers list is encouraging.

                • Seattle selects "SS" Johnny Satterfield and C Dwayne Boyles with the last two picks.

Complete opposites. Satterfield received high potential ratings from my scout and OSA but never really produced in college. Boyles isn't rated well by OSA but for two years all he did was mash at the plate.

Our local political representative is named Tracy Ramsey.

Damn, I really expected Boyles to last.

                      • Ugh, I really wish I had drafted more arms.
I wanted Ron Nolt something fierce. I should have drafted him above Trevor Boyle, who most likely drops well into the 4th round or lower.

                        Oh well. Live and learn.

There are some pitchers left who have good amateur numbers but their projections are bad, or have poor intangibles.
Then you have some who have terrible college numbers, but have great projections.
It's going to be very interesting watching these guys develop and seeing which players become stars and which are busts.

                        • It says I'm on "Auto". If my list has players in it (which it does now), and I have it selected to pick from my list, does it actually do it even though it doesn't say "List Pick" next to my team?

Boyle wouldn't have made it out of the third as he was tops on my list for the 3rd round.

Draft felt short on pitchers this year.
