What worries me is that he didn't appear to be a starter in 2022 (only 17 GS's). He was Nevada's starting RFer in 2021, but then was moved to CF where he was a backup to a rookie CFer.
    His intangibles also scared me.
But he could become a very good BLB bat. His batting potentials and defensive acuman look really good.
He doesn't care about working out or winning, but is a good gamble in the 3rd Round, my scout literally says he can be a great contributor in a winning club... So let's try :)

          He wouldn't pass through the 3.15 :)

            • Looking forward to Madden and Elliott anchoring the back end of my bullpen. I shall name them Dante's Inferno.

              • Very happy with getting Josh Wright in the 3rd round- my scout think he's going to be incredible but I think my scout may have been under the influence when he scouted him. He has a good work ethic and his OSA scouting projection isn't that bad. He and Daric Berry were similar talents according to my scout but Wright is actually rated higher. A gamble in round 3 but I like it. Pat Nicholas my 2nd rounder is a safeish pick at least- my scout didn't like him as much as OSA but I think he'll be pretty good.

                • Happy with my draft so far even if it is pitching heavy. I stuck to BPA and hopefully can add a big bat with multiple firsts the next few years.

                  1.3 SP Pat Arballo
1.6 CF Dave Tibbs (possibly moving to SS)
                  1.24 SP Erik Peterson
                  2.19 SP Federico Cabrera
                  3.13 SP Francis Duarte

Hopefully I don't regret passing on Ryman at 1.16 and Philly's 2024 1st is high enough.

                    • Phoenix is officially an enemy of Montreal.

I wanted Nolt so bad. Should have picked him with my 3.10.

                        • With the 75th pick in the 2022 Draft, the Bulldogs select 1B Dave Blackburn out of Morton West High School.

Dave was a teammate of our first round pick, Bruno Damours. Staying with the theme of listening to my scout, he actually thinks Dave is a better all-around player than Damours. I really hate picking two first basemen this early but he was of the best hitters left that both OSA and my scout agreed on.

We are hoping that we can groom Blackburn to play a corner outfield position at a respectable level. If not, look forward to me voting for the DH in the IL.

                          • At 4.1, Seattle selects SP Milt Wolfe. My scout thinks he is garbage but OSA has him 567, highest WAR after Arballo, Brunke and Dunn. and highest available OSA ranked HS prospect at #24.

He was the #1 pitcher on my board. If it wasn't for already spending a lot of picks on pitchers lately I would have taken him at 2.25. I liked him for the same reasons, although my scout also couldn't have cared less about him.

                              • Sorry guys. Not a good time to have a date night with the old lady. Was in the theatre and restaurant trying to remember guys I've researched.
And the List doesn't show up on my phone browser.
It's gonna be dat azzz if she is the cause of me screwing up one of the deepest drafts in years.
(This draft runs deep, so deep, put dat ass to sleep!)
