We selected RF Daric "Don't Call me Straw" Berry. We don't value defense in Toronto. What we value is those bright blue OSA bars full of power. Berry is an OSA darling, let's hope he doesn't get dinged in the next scouting reports.Toronto Canadians - 2004-

With the 49th pick in the draft, the Bulldogs select SP Donnie Brunke from Central HS.

Donny was the 2021 Outstanding HS Pitcher of the Year, following up that performance with a 3rd place finish this year. He's also a 3 time high school All-Star.
He's no OSA darling, but my scout thinks he could become a solid #3 pitcher. My experience is that guys like these can become pretty good with a little luck.Last edited by Delandis; 07-14-2017, 06:36 PM.

Might have a chance as a SP, if not, looks pretty nasty as a RP.GM - Davenport Brawlers BLB

With our first selection in this Draft we traveled to the West to scout and finally select RF Joey Whitaker. Carlomagno and OSA have the same evaluation about him; an A defender with the ability to squeeze the ball through the holes or launch it above the Sea Life Aquarium's walls.
He had a magnificent season in 2021 with 1.085 OPS and 19 dingers. But had a down year in 2022... Let's see what is his real self.
I am in love with his Arm and his Globe in the outfield, hopefully he will be able to shut down those would be xbh throwing to 2nd base, and ranging over to make difficult catches near the wall.Miami Sharks (BLB)

What worries me is that he didn't appear to be a starter in 2022 (only 17 GS's). He was Nevada's starting RFer in 2021, but then was moved to CF where he was a backup to a rookie CFer.
His intangibles also scared me.
But he could become a very good BLB bat. His batting potentials and defensive acuman look really good.Brewers League Baseball
