Not sure I'm in love with this pick, but I like his stats, intangibles and potential.
Defensive abilities are lacking, but he can be a DH.
And he has 7/6/6 pitching potential. He'll definitely get a chance to pitch in the minors.
He was one of the top three left on my board.

    • Looking to trade into these next few picks. I can offer 3.13 and a future pick or Brendon Lanoie.

PM me. I also have a huge trade block of guys I'll trade for picks in rounds 2 and 3.

        • A bevy of AAA pitching prospects that I'd trade one for one for a second round pick if someone would rather an almost developed prospect over an unknown pick.

          • Went with LSU center fielder Jamie Spencer at #34. Love the intangibles, and the 8 speed with 7 base stealing doesn't hurt.

            • I apologize for sleeping instead of picking last night. ;)

              Getting to my pick now.

              • Kind of a weird pick for us we went OF prospect Dave Bowne. Our scouts think he's a bit better than OSA, but I'm not certain they're correct. However, the kid is already hitting a bunch of home runs and we're looking for him to do the same in Wilmington. Barring that there's also this:

                • I liked Spencer too; he was my second choice behind Gluchowski. Good value at this point for sure.

                  • My scout thinks highly of Bowne as both a hitter and a pitcher. He was on my short list.

                    • Bolger is a solid pick. Projects as a CF.

                      • Serious run on guys I was looking at in the early second. I went with 1B Dave Hodge. He was one of the few hitters OSA and my scout agreed on.

Can someone do an IP check on umd? He's complimented two of my picks.

The losing has gotten to him.

Our scouts have the same list. Been that way for three seasons. We pick from the same players every year. We are also the two worst teams in the league.
